Abstract: An engine simulator is utilized for training purposes. The simulator comprises a fully functioning control system and pressure modules, pumps and variable drive motors to simulate a engine faults. A programmable logic controller and other related components simulate engine activities and operational sequences that interface with controls system. A trainer is able to “bug” the system physically, electronically or via programming, thus allowing applied on the job training during the course of instruction without any service interruption to real equipment.
