    Abstract: A system and method for determining whether an authorized user has retained possession of a device for participating in gaming activities. The system includes a wireless or wired remote device that is fitted with a kill switch that will disable use of the device until the authorized user resubmits the necessary verification. The kill switch may be activated by the lack of movement of the device, thermal sensors, capacity sensors, contact switches, dead-man switches or the like.

    Abstract: A system and method for accurately identifying the user of wireless or wired devices used for playing casino games. The system includes a smart card reader associated with the device for reading information about the authorized user from a smart card. The information stored on the smart may include the amount of money left on the card or in the user's account, as well as identification information such as a password or fingerprint associated with the authorized user. If the user enters the correct identification, then the device will proceed to allow gaming activities to be played. In addition to recording the balance remaining on the card, the smart card may also monitor and record information concerning the activities performed on the device to assist the casino in its reward program.

    Abstract: A system and method for accurately locating the position of wireless or wired devices used for playing casino games. The system includes a plurality of transmitters located throughout the interior of the building and on the grounds of the building property for communicating with the device. The transmitters are connected to a CDMA server or the like that is connected to a GPS base station or the like to assist in determining the precise location of the device and to verify that the device is located in an area where casino games may be lawfully played.
