Patent number: 11858964Abstract: Disclosed are virus-inspired compositions and preparation methods thereof, where the compositions comprise mutant papillomavirus L1 proteins that spontaneously form capsid backbones and that are conjugated to a peptide comprising an epitope to form immune redirector capsids (IRCs). The epitopes on the peptides are designed to be recognized by a subject's immune system based on the subject's preexisting immune memory developed from the subject's past exposure to the epitope through infection or vaccination. The mutant papillomavirus L1 proteins possess three mutations including an amino-terminal truncation, a carboxy-terminal truncation, and a truncation at helix four. These mutations in the L1 protein yield capsomeres that are form non-canonical T=1 geometry capsid backbones. Disclosed are uses and methods of using the compositions in treating and/or preventing cancers in subjects in need thereof.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2021Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: VerImmune Inc.Inventors: Joshua Weiyuan Wang, Ken Matsui, Philip Alan Storm, Kristin Marie Peters

Publication number: 20230391830Abstract: Disclosed is a new class of conjugated virus-like particles (VLPs). These conjugated VLPs bind a wide variety of tumors and comprise epitopes recognized by a prior T cell immune response already existing in a host. These epitopes are derived from pathogens or previous vaccinations (such as early childhood vaccines). This provokes the body's pre-existing cytotoxic immunity obtained through previous infection or previous childhood vaccination to be redirected to the tumor cells for the elimination of cancer, and form long-term anti-tumor immunity. The described conjugated VLPs are useful for tailoring a broad range of tumors towards a response from existing immunity circumventing the need to identify tumor antigens or generate tumor-specific immune responses.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2022Publication date: December 7, 2023Inventors: Joshua Weiyuan WANG, Nattha INGAVAT, Ken MATSUI

Publication number: 20230287843Abstract: In the present invention, a clogging rate is calculated using a first flow rate function when the degree of clogging of the throttle valve is in the reference state and a second flow rate function estimated based on the intake air volume. For each predetermined period, sample points, which are combinations of the second flow rate function and throttle valve position, are obtained, and the learning points are calculated by averaging a plurality of sample points for each predetermined position range. Based on the plurality of learning points, coefficients a to c of the approximate function of the second flow rate function characteristic are calculated by the least-squares method, and the clogging rate is calculated based on the second flow rate function characteristic and the first flow rate function approximated by the approximate function using the coefficients a to c.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2023Publication date: September 14, 2023Inventors: Ken MATSUI, Satoshi SEKIGUCHI, Takahiro OHASHI, Jyo ISHIMASA

Publication number: 20120197601Abstract: Two dimensional developed view data of a three dimensional structure is obtained. Layer structure information of a sheet-shaped component which has a laminated structure, and bend information of a indicated by the obtained data are input. For coordinates of the obtained data, a principal axis direction in which the shape of an inner structure of the component does not change is set. The layer structure information and information representing the principal axis direction are added to each surface indicated by the obtained data. The three dimensional shape of the three dimensional structure is generated using the obtained data and the bend information. Using the layer structure information and the information representing the principal axis direction added to each surface, a three dimensional model in which the shape of the laminated structure of the component is added to each surface indicated by the three dimensional shape is generated.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2012Publication date: August 2, 2012Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Ken Matsui, Takayuki Matsuura
