  • Patent number: 6779989
Abstract: A plurality of connection terminals are covered with a housing so that the plurality of connection terminals are collectively treated by handling of the housing. The housing is put over and fitted to a case of a compressor while connecting the connection terminals to connection pins for external wiring through an opening of the housing. With a seal member arranged in between, the opening is pressed against an external face of the case to conduct sealing between them.

  • Patent number: 6749464
Abstract: A shield connector includes a male connector having a first housing accommodating therein a male terminal and a first shield pipe, and a female connector having a second housing accommodating therein a female terminal and a second shield pipe. When the male and female connectors are fitted to each other, the male terminal is fitted to the female connector and distal end portions of the first and second shield pipes are fitted to each other. At this time, upper and lower halves of the distal end portion of the first shield pipe are disposed outside an upper half of and inside a lower half of the distal end portion of the second shield pipe, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6661341
Abstract: A seat-occupant sensing device for a car seat is provided, such that a heater can be installed in the seat without deterioration of sitting comfort. A load sensor is mounted to a cushion frame of a car seat. The end of a flexible cushion support is linked with the load sensor. Because the flexible cushion support flexes when a person sits on the seat, the load sensor detects the moment when the person sits on the seat.

  • Patent number: 6556024
Abstract: A capacitance type load sensor is provided with outer and inner tubes made of plastic and formed into a hollow circular cylinder shape and outer and inner electrodes respectively attached to the inner and outer peripheral faces of the outer and inner tubes. A coil spring is disposed within the interior space of the inner tube, and load-applied hooks of the coil spring are individually coupled to respective end walls of the outer and inner tubes. When a tensile load is applied to the hooks of the coil spring and hence the coil spring is elongated, a relative motion occurs between the outer and inner tubes so that the facing area between the outer and inner electrodes and accordingly the capacitance between these electrodes decrease. The load sensor measures the applied load based on an amount of change in the capacitance between before and after the application of the load.

  • Patent number: 5413492
Abstract: A transmission apparatus used for transmitting electric signals, optical signals, small power, etc. between a rotary body and a fixed body using a flat cable. The apparatus has dummy cables in addition to the flat cable. At least one dummy cable is provided with a stopper member having a projecting portion which projects to the flange portion side of the outer case. Further, a depression portion in which the projecting portion of the stopper member enters is formed at the inner circumference of the flange portion of the outside case. If the inside case is rotated in the rewinding direction, the projecting portion of the stopper member catches on the peripheral wall of the depression portion before the flat cable is completely rewound and therefore no further rotation is possible. That is, by the present transmission apparatus, it is possible to accurately detect "over rotation in the rewinding direction" without damaging the flat cable and the dummy cables.

  • Patent number: 5328112
Abstract: A transmission apparatus of the U-turn type in which the extending direction of a flexible flat cable is reversed in the middle of the cable. The apparatus comprises a planet roll located between a center barrel and an outer case. The planet roll is fitted with a planet gear which is in mesh with a sun gear fixed to the center barrel, and an internal gear fixed to the outer case. When the center barrel rotates, the planet roll revolves in the same direction as the rotating direction of the barrel, thereby guiding the U-turn portion of the cable. At the same time, the planet roll rotates around its axis in the direction opposite to the rotating direction of the center barrel, whereby a guide tape is wound on the barrel and wound off the planet roll. The guide tape serves to guide and prevent the cable from slackening, so that the potential rotational frequency of the center barrel can be made high for the cable length.

  • Patent number: 5310356
Abstract: A transmission device is equipped with a flat cable (11) which has a winding direction reversal section (11a) at the middle, and three dummy cables (21A through 21C) which are wrapped over the flat cable, the winding direction reversal sections (11a and 21a through 21c) of the flat cable and dummy cables being arranged in the circumferential direction at approximately equal intervals. The winding direction reversal sections which produce elastic reaction forces are distributed in the circumferential direction at approximately equal intervals, and hence the slack of the flat cable is suppressed when an inner case or an outer case performs reciprocal rotation, thus securely preventing troubles caused by the slack in the flat cable, whereby the possible case revolution number can be increased with a shorter flat cable, and the operation stability of the transmission device can be improved.

  • Patent number: 4806123
Abstract: An electrical connector device comprising male and female housings and terminal seating detecting means. Each of the housings includes retaining means protruding in the form of a cantilever from each of partition walls, which define terminal chambers arranged in the form of a matrix composed of a plurality of rows and columns, and resiliently bendable in a flexure space. As male terminals, contained individually in the terminal chambers, and female terminals, adapted to be connected to the male terminals, engage the retaining means, the terminals are prevented from slipping out of the chambers. The terminal seating detecting means is fitted into the flexure space of the retaining means when the terminals are contained in their corresponding terminal chambers so that they normally engage the retaining means.
