Patent number: 12435749Abstract: A faucet mounting structure includes a threaded pipe and a threaded lock nut. The quick tighten and release adjustable lock nut includes a separate upper main body and a lower main which snap fit together. The upper main body includes downward extending lugs with inward facing threads which are urged against the outward facing threads of a faucet pipe to hold the pipe and thus, hold the faucet in a fixed position on a counter top. The downward extending lugs are captured in canted arcuate recesses in the lower main body.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2021Date of Patent: October 7, 2025Assignee: COMPASS MANUFACTURING INTERNATIONAL, LLCInventors: Ken Sapp, DeChang Li

Publication number: 20250067032Abstract: A faucet and cascading rinse module adapted for use in a sink wherein cascading water flows from the module in a selected laminar flow pattern for rinsing articles with a water-fall effect. A water supply device comprising dual selectable flow outlets, to dispense water from either a faucet positioned above a water basin or from a cascade module mounted adjacent to the water basin. The cascade module is modular to allow for alternative nozzle patterns to be used interchangeably in the water supply device. A cartridge valve controls water temperature and flow rate while a diverter valve directs the water supply to either the faucet head or to the plurality of nozzles of the cascade module.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2024Publication date: February 27, 2025Inventors: Ken Sapp, DeChang Li

Patent number: 12221778Abstract: Sinks have an integral drain overflow protection or a conventional overflow port but not both. Conventional drain assemblies have a body comprising a hollow cylinder having either solid upper body portion or an upper body sidewall portion including an opening. The present invention defines a drain assembly having an upper body sidewall portion including a knock out blank which may be left in place or knocked out for use with either type of sink. A knock-out band can be used in combination with the knock-out drain assembly body to be positioned over the knocked out body hole providing a water tight seal should the user chooses to use the knocked out drain assembly in a sink having a conventional overflow port.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2022Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: COMPASS MANUFACTURING INTERNATIONAL, LLCInventors: Ken Sapp, DeChang Li

Patent number: 12031310Abstract: A drain control assembly having a pop-up stopper controlled by a cam actuating mechanism allowing the stopper to alternately seal and unseat from the drain opening by pressing down on the stopper. Actuator guide rings extending from vertical fins and tabs are used to align and removably secure the actuator in position within the drain pipe. The stopper seal seats against the sink housing the drain providing a water tight seal. The assembly has a removable catch screen to retain items fallen into the drain. The stopper and actuator assembly can be dislodged and the entire assembly removed and items in the catch screen can be retrieved or the actuator removed for cleaning. The assembly can then be reinstalled by simply inserting it down into the drain.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2022Date of Patent: July 9, 2024Assignee: COMPASS MANUFACTURING INTERNATIONAL, LLCInventors: Ken Sapp, DeChang Li

Patent number: 12000127Abstract: The invention describes a quick install lift rod pop-up sink drain assembly comprising a drain body, a drain plug, a horizontal pivot rod used as a lever for raising and lowering the drain plug, a lock ring which rotatably secures the horizontal pivot rod to the drain body, and a lift rod rotatably connected to the outer free end of the horizontal pivot rod and used to raise or lower the free end of the horizontal pivot rod. A spherical portion of the horizontal pivot rod is rotatably captured inside a free end of a connector which is integral with the drain body and which contains pawls which capture the spherical portion of the rod and allow up and down movement of the rod with respect to the drain body, causing the drain plug to open and close.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2022Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: COMPASS MANUFACTURING INTERNATIONAL, LLCInventors: Ken Sapp, DeChang Li

Publication number: 20230078805Abstract: A drain body used to connect a sink drain to drainage pipes for use with sinks having integral overflow protection and sinks with conventional overflow ports. The drain body comprises a hollow cylinder with an upper flange including an upper sidewall portion defining a knock out blank which may be left in place or may be easily removed, thus providing a hole through which the overflow water which is carried through an integral tunnel in the sidewall routed to the bottom drain port of the drain body sinks versus a conventional overflow port. Because sinks having no integral tunnel for draining overflow water require a solid drain body, the user would simply leave the upper sidewall portion intact in order to use the drain with overflow knock-out blank drain body.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2022Publication date: March 16, 2023Inventors: Ken Sapp, DeChang Li
