  • Publication number: 20120327667
Abstract: A LED light shade includes a shade body and a light enhancing layer integrated with a base material of the shade body. Alternatively, the light enhancing layer is coated on a surface of the shade body. When a LED light source is electrified, the LED light source generates LED light with a wavelength matching with the corresponding wavelength of light enhancing layer, such that the light enhancing layer is activated to enable a secondary light emission at the shade body so as to enhance the light intensity of the LED light. The light enhancing layer enables a secondary light emission that significantly increases the 30% brightness to produce the same lumens as a higher powered light. The LED light is evenly distributed through the shade body via the light enhancing layer. Therefore, the LED light shade is considered as an energy saving and environment friendly product.

  • Patent number: 7721475
Abstract: A sign panel made of light transmitting material, has a front displaying side and a rear side, the sign panel has a background portion that is preferably a flat surface and a protruding portion that forms a sign character, wherein a lighting blocking layer attached to said background portion of the sign panel, and a highlight coating coated on said protruding portion of the rear side of the sign panel. Light can go through the protruding portion with a highlight coating. The sign panel can use without a complicated neon light tubes, and the sign panel contains no mercury versus argon based neon tubes. This is a huge win from the environmental side as there is no use for mercury inside LED signs.

  • Publication number: 20080060238
Abstract: A neon simulated illumination sign has a base housing and a display panel made of light transmitting material, with a displaying side and an attachment side. The base housing houses light sources while the display panel has a background portion that is preferably a flat surface and a protruding portion that forms sign characters, wherein a lighting blocking layer coated to the background portion of the display panel, and a highlight coating coated on said protruding portion of the attachment side of the display panel. Light can go through the protruding portion with a highlight coating. The illumination sign includes one or more through openings which are designed to create a wide variety of three dimensional features which are more outstanding than that in conventional illumination signs.

  • Publication number: 20080060237
Abstract: An illumination sign includes a sign panel, a light source, and a simulated neon illumination arrangement. The light source is mounted at a rear side of the sign panel to provide illumination toward the sign panel. The simulated neon illumination arrangement includes a light blocking layer provided on the rear surface of the sign panel at the background portion thereof, and a neon effect illumination film provided on the sign panel at the sign portion thereof to form a sign character, wherein when the light source generates light towards the rear side of the sign panel, a portion of the light impinging on the sign portion is allowed to pass through the sign portion through the neon effect illumination film to illuminate the sign characters for producing a simulated neon illumination effect.
