Patent number: 11923168Abstract: A method to compensate for drift while controlling a charged particle beam (CPB) system having at least one charged particle beam controllable in position. Sources of drift include mechanical variations in the stage supporting the sample, beam deflection shifts, and environmental impacts, such as temperature. The method includes positioning a sample supported by a stage in the CPB system, monitoring a reference fiducial on a surface of the sample from a start time to an end time, determining a drift compensation to compensate for a drift that causes an unintended change in the position of a first charged particle beam relative to the sample by a known amount over a period of time based on a change in the position of the reference fiducial between the start time and the end time, and adjusting positions of the first charged particle beam by applying the determined drift compensation during an operation of the CPB system.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: FIBICS INCORPORATEDInventors: Michael William Phaneuf, Ken Guillaume Lagarec

Patent number: 10337885Abstract: A voltage pattern analysis system and method may automate aspects of the process of mapping or assigning utility meters to a specific transformer or other distribution node by identifying misassociated meters and correcting a system-wide transformer assignment or distribution node assignment. When a meter's voltage signal does not correlate well with other meters' voltage signals on the same transformer, the meter is likely misassociated to that transformer. A pairwise voltage signal correlation may be computed for all meters assigned to a transformer and a voltage signal correlation for every transformer in the system, or a subset thereof, may be imputed. Individual meter correlations may then be compared with the transformer correlation. For meters identified as misassociation candidates, transformers or other distribution nodes within a specified radius may be considered for reassignment of the meter.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2015Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: INVENTUS HOLDINGS, LLCInventors: Catherine Micek, Ken Williams, Marc Light

Publication number: 20170281936Abstract: A convertible implantable stimulator that provides electrical stimulation therapy during an extended trial stimulation period (or permanently, if desired) in a fully implanted solution is disclosed. The convertible implantable stimulator preferably does not include an internal power supply and is therefore continuously powered by an external charger, such as a powering patch, in a first mode of operation. If the convertible implantable stimulator is determined to be effective and a patient desires more traditional stimulation therapy, a separate power supply module can subsequently be implanted and connected to the convertible implantable stimulator to provide power to the stimulator in a second mode of operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2017Publication date: October 5, 2017Inventors: Daniel Aghassian, Ken William Mariash, JR., Jeffery Van Funderburk, Zdzislaw Bernard Malinowski, Vuong Tuan Nguyen

Publication number: 20110282849Abstract: A system and method for data compression using compression hardware is disclosed. In accordance with the method, a data set in a data stream is received. The data set includes a set of data descriptor fields. The data set is portioned into one or more data subsets using the set of data descriptor fields. One or more tabular slices and an index are generated for at least one of the data subsets using the set of data descriptor fields. The one or more tabular slices are identified by the index. The one or more tabular slices are compressed into a compressed data block by a data compression scheme using a hardware compressor. A compression data file is generated in a database.
