  • Patent number: 5202767
Abstract: A computerized multicolor camera is disclosed that provides digital signal representations of several monocolor images of an object. The camera has an image sensor with an imaging region that develops a charge pattern in response to incident light reflected from the object through a selectable color filter to the imaging region. This analog charge pattern for each selectable color is digitized, the computer within the camera corrects the digitized values for nonlinearities of the image sensor, and stores the corrected digital values in its internal memory. The computer within the camera can then transfer the digital representations of the image to an external computer via a SCSI interface. In addition, the camera has an analog output mode that generates a monocolor real time video signal.

  • Patent number: 4777525
Abstract: An electro-optical scanning, display, and storage/retrieval system and method are described for examination of a specimen under a plurality of magnifications. A low resolution image can be provided by moving a specimen past one or more sets of radiation sensitive arrays. Three methods can be employed for providing this low resolution image; (1) by using red, green and blue sensing arrays, (2) by means of RGB filters, and (3) by sequentially illuminating a single array with red, blue and green light. Output signals involving each color component are properly coordinated so as to reconstruct the image of the specimen. Subsequently, the specimen is optically imaged at a multiplicity of higher magnifications generating images which are spatially correlated with the low resolution image. Three methods are described for providig this plurality of magnifications.

  • Patent number: 4667295
Abstract: A minicomputer provides signals representative of an image to three memory units via a sixteen bit data bus. Signals representative of sixteen central pixels of the image and neighbors thereof are provided from the memory units to a tessellation memory. In response to the central pixels and their neighbors forming a predetermined pattern, signals representative of the central pixels may be altered, whereby the central pixels are processed simultaneously. Signals representative of the processed central pixels are provided to the minicomputer via the data bus.

  • Patent number: 4641351
Abstract: A voxel of a scene is central to a neighborhood of twelve voxels disposed at corners of a tetradecahedron. A signal representation of a processed image of the central voxel is provided in response to a comparison of a signal representation of the central voxel and the neighborhood to a signal representation of an array of voxels.
