  • Publication number: 20070157519
Abstract: An electric blind includes a frame, a plurality of horizontal slat units, and a stepping motor. The frame has two side vertical rods pivotally connected with the slat units, and a linking rod is fixed with a lengthwise side of all the slat units, possible to force the slat units synchronously swing for an angle. The stepping motor unit is composed of a stepping motor and a controller. The stepping motor is positioned in a cavity of one of the two side vertical rods, connected with a slat of the salt units. Further the controller controls the rotating angle of the motor, and the stepping motor can rotate idle in case the motor should meet an exterior force (for example, in case of the slat units already swung to the largest angle), or the slat units are manually moved any time. Thus the electric blind may not easily be broken or damaged.

  • Publication number: 20070045049
Abstract: In a display and method of selling shutters in which at least two sets of shutter panels, T-strips and spacers are displayed at a home center or other retail location. The homeowner measures the window opening and takes the measurement to the home center. The customer then selects at least two shutters from one of the sets of shutters on display and selects a T-strip from one of the sets of T-strips such that the selected shutters and T-strip can be assembled by the customer to fit the opening over which the customer desires to install the shutters. The components can be assembled in a manner so that any gap between adjacent shutters when those shutters are in a closed position is covered by the T-strip. When appropriate the customer may select spacers which are placed between each shutter panel and the window frame.

  • Publication number: 20050102963
Abstract: A window shutter incorporates a lightweight composite frame that is particularly resistant to temperature and humidity changes. Members forming the frame are laminations of plastic shell members on one or more face surfaces of an elongate wood-based core. This invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a shutter frame stock, and the finished product. The method is to first prepare a body, and a shell member; the body is elongated, and is made of a wood based material. The shell member is made of plastic and glue is used to affix the shell member onto the face surface of the body, in order to form basic frame stock; the basic frame stock is then further processed to form the profile desired, and to generate the required frame stock.
