  • Publication number: 20120035945
Abstract: An example operation metrics collection and processing system is to mine a data set including patient and exam workflow data from information source(s) according to an operational metric for a workflow of interest; identify one or more states involved in the workflow; determine a wait time for each of the state(s); apply one or more applicable deductions to the wait time for each of the state(s) based on one or more workflow-specific events to generate an adjusted wait time for each of the state(s) in the workflow of interest; aggregate the adjusted wait time for each of the state(s) to generate a normalized wait time for the workflow of interest; group normalized wait times for the workflow of interest according to one or more thresholds; and output a representation of the normalized wait times to the user interface based on the grouping and the one or more thresholds.

  • Publication number: 20100063842
Abstract: System and methods for indicating an image location in an image stack are disclosed. An example method includes generating an index of indications of medical image locations in a medical image stack including a first indication of a first medical image location in a medical image stack and a second indication of a second medical image location in the medical image stack, displaying in a user interface the first medical image and the first indication of the first medial image location within the medical image stack, receiving a scroll input and scroll through the index displaying indications of medical image locations in the image stack until the second indication of the second medical image is displayed, receiving a selection of the second indication of the second medical image, and displaying in the user interface the second medical image and the second indication of the second medical image location within the medical image stack.

  • Publication number: 20090327335
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a system for vendor-independent computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) marker generation including a parser adapted to parse CAD marker data into parsed data and a marker generator adapted to generate generic marker data based on the parsed data and a configuration file. The generic marker data includes a set of point pairs.

  • Publication number: 20080167902
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a user interface including a representation of a plurality of data items and an export control. Each data item in the plurality of data items represents at least one of patient information and study information stored in a picture archiving and communication system (PACS). The export control allows a user to export one or more of the plurality of data items.

  • Publication number: 20060231108
Abstract: A system and method to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a radiologist. A context manager for managing the display of multi-patient contexts. In an embodiment computer software operates as a context manager and correlates the context of at least one information container with at least one image container. A graphical container displaying information about a patient, as opposed to an image, may be an information container. A graphical container displaying images of a patient, as opposed to information, may be an image container. In order to minimize occurrences of a user viewing information about a first patient and images of a second patient, and mistakenly believing the information and images belong to the same patient, a visual indicator may be displayed over images that are out-of-context with the information displayed. The visual indicator may be a watermark to alert a user of a difference in context.

  • Publication number: 20060235936
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide an improved medical imaging and information management system and method with conferencing and control capability. Certain embodiments of the system include an initiator workstation capable of remotely controlling functionality at a slave workstation and a slave workstation including functionality capable of control by the initiator workstation. The initiator workstation is capable of remotely configuring a display protocol of said slave workstation to share diagnostic quality images. In an embodiment, the system includes a picture archiving and communication system (PACS), with first and second PACS workstations as the initiator and slave workstations, for example. In an embodiment, the initiator controls all functionality at the slave. In an embodiment, the initiator controls selected functions at the slave.

  • Publication number: 20060234196
Abstract: A system and method to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a radiologist. In a medical imaging systems, a user may typically compare images of a patient from a current study with images of the patient from a previous study. A user may use several body part filters to retrieve studies applicable to a current study. A first filter may have a search set of available body parts, essentially returning available studies of the patient. A second filter may have a search set corresponding to the body parts of the current study. A third set of filters may have a search set corresponding to one body part of a current study. Each filter in the third set may have a distinct search set comprising one of the body parts of the current study. A fourth set of filters may have a search set defined by the user.
