  • Publication number: 20230207948
Abstract: A manufacturing system for a battery pack includes a front-half unit that applies a first pressure to press a stack in a single direction for a certain period of time and a rear-half unit that then causes a restraining member to restrain the stack while applying a second pressure smaller than the first pressure to press the stack in the single direction. The front-half unit includes a front-half pressure application portion that presses the stack and a front-half restriction portion that restricts a position of the stack. The front-half pressure application portion presses the stack with the front-half restriction portion in contact with the stack. The rear-half unit includes a rear-half pressure application portion that presses the stack and a rear-half restriction portion that restricts the position of the stack. The rear-half pressure application portion presses the stack with the front-half or rear-half restriction portion in contact with the stack.

  • Publication number: 20230064717
Abstract: A power storage module includes a power storage cell and a cell holder. The power storage cell includes a case and a cover. The cover has a reference surface formed flatly. A welded portion is formed in a boundary portion between the case and the cover. The welded portion includes a protrusion portion having a shape protruding upward from the reference surface. The cell holder includes a frame body and an abutment wall, the frame body including a pair of first side walls and a second side wall. The abutment wall includes a cover abutment portion including an abutting surface configured to abut with the reference surface, and a facing portion facing the protrusion portion in the up-down direction. The facing portion has a shape recessed upward from the reference surface such that the facing portion avoids interference with the protrusion portion.

  • Patent number: 11509003
Abstract: A cooling structure includes a power storage stack including power storage cells, first and second end plates, a refrigerant supply path for supplying refrigerant, and first paths each provided in a clearance between two of the adjacent power storage cells. The first end plate is configured to form a second path communicating with the refrigerant supply path in a clearance between a first end of the power storage stack and the first end plate. The second end plate is configured to form a third path communicating with the refrigerant supply path in a clearance between a second end of the power storage stack and the second end plate. The power storage stack is cooled to have a temperature distribution in which the power storage cells disposed on the second end side have temperatures higher than the temperatures of the power storage cells disposed on the first end side.

  • Patent number: 10826135
Abstract: A battery pack includes a first unit battery, a second unit battery, and a spacer. The first unit battery includes a wound electrode body and a casing that accommodates an electrolyte solution. The spacer includes: a primary surface that faces the first unit battery; and plural projections, each of which is projected from the primary surface. The plural projections include: a first projection that abuts the casing in a state where the casing is not expanded; and a second projection, a height of which is lower than a height of the first projection.
