Abstract: In a moving picture reproduction apparatus such as an optical disc player 1, a controller 5 serving as a reproduction judger judges whether reproduction of the video content is stopped or not, the controller 5 serving as a key frame searcher searches a key frame which is a nearest in reproducing direction from a position of a frame at a time when reproduction of the video content was stopped with reference to time codes stored in the memory; and the controller 5 serving as a reproduction controller restarts the reproduction of the video content from the searched key frame.
