The invention provides a communication system for transmitting data by a data transmitting device provided on a route of a moving body to the moving body having a plurality of vehicles in one formation; each of the plurality of vehicles being provided with a receiving unit that receives data transmitted from the data transmitting device; and the data transmitting device being configured to transmit mutually different data to the receiving units of the plurality of vehicles. The moving body may be a train such as the Shinkansen, or a transport vehicle such as a truck to which a plurality of cargo vehicles are connected.
