  • Publication number: 20020014348
Abstract: A structure of installing a wire harness for a sliding door includes a harness protective tube 2 in which electric wires are contained to compose the wire harness. The harness protective tube 2 is curved at the sliding door side and installed at a vehicle body side. The harness protective tube 2 has an oval shape in cross section, and is curved in a direction of its longer diameter portions 3 at the sliding door side so that the longer diameter portions are positioned in a vertical direction, whereby harness slack absorbing function is imparted to the harness protective tube. The longer diameter portions 3 are supported by a support part 11 at the sliding door side, and the harness protective tube 2 is curved in a direction of the longer diameter portions extending from the support part to the vehicle body side. There is provided a protector 5 in which the support part 11 is positioned, and the harness protective tube 2 is contained in a curved state in a direction of the longer diameter portions 3.

  • Publication number: 20020005014
Abstract: The additional segment of a wire harness 3 which is required for opening/closing a slide door 1 and constitutes a curved segment 20 is housed in a protector 9. The protector 9 has curved walls 28, 29, guide rail 30, slider 31 and first and second harness outlets 32, 33. When the slide door 1 is opened/closed, the wire harness 3 shuttles to and fro within the second wire harness outlet 33. The looseness of the wire harness when the slide door is opened/closed may be absorbed in such a manner that it is supported by an elastic member in a state where the wire harness has been curved within the protector without using the guide rail 30 and slider 31. The protecting member may be provided with a bending limiting portion, harness securing portion and flange or slanted sliding-contact portion which serve to slide the wire harness smoothly. In this configuration, it is possible to realize improvement of easiness of assembling, saving of the space and smooth operation of a power supply apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20020000499
Abstract: Slidable-contact portions 10, 24 of a fixing tool 1 are engaged with the concave grooves 11 of a corrugated tube 2 which is circular in section so that the corrugated tube is supported rotatably in its circumferential direction by the fixing tool 1. Where the corrugate tube is oval in section, it is fixed inside a rotating member 33 with a circular outer periphery, and the rotating member is held rotatably in its circumferential direction inside a body of the fixing tool 1. The rotating member may be moved along a cam groove, or may hold the corrugated tube in a state decentered in an oblique direction. The fixing tool 1 is composed of a receiving part 3 and covering part 2 which have slidable-contact supporting portions 10, 24 to be engaged with the concave grooves 11 of the corrugated tube 2.

The other end of the wire harness 3 is hung over the other of them. An elastic member 4 is arranged along the wire harness in the longitudinal direction from the one end of the wire harness so that the wire harness is supported by the elastic member. The elastic member 4 may be a lengthy flat spring. The elastic member may be composed of a first spring segment along the outer face of the wire harness and a second spring segment having a small spring constant which protrudes toward a free end of the elastic member. The elastic member may be bent at an intermediate position in the longitudinal direction and arranged on the curved portion of the wire harness. The elastic member may be composed of a flat spring segment along the inner face of the curved portion and a spiral segment. The elastic member may be provided with a harness supporting member.
