  • Patent number: 7778276
Abstract: A mobile communication terminal receives and reproduces a television broadcast from a broadcasting device, and determines any error in the packets making up the received stream data. Based on the continuity of determined error packets, the mobile communication terminal groups the packets to determine the packets for which a retransmission request is to be made. When a user instructs complementary reproduction, the mobile communication terminal sends information indicating the designated packet group to a distribution device through a mobile communication network to request packet retransmission. The distribution device transmits the packets included in the packet group to the mobile communication terminal. When receiving stream data transmitted from the distribution device through the mobile communication network, the mobile communication terminal reproduces the received retransmitted stream data at higher bit rate than normal reproduction rate.

  • Publication number: 20090095942
Abstract: It is a first object of the present invention to provide a lithium secondary battery using a conductive polymer such as polyaniline, which exhibits a stable electrical conductivity over a long time. To achieve the first object, there is provided a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery, comprising an electrically conductive polymer having an amino group, a hydrogen bonding compound, and a protonic acid. Further, it is a second object of the present invention to provide a lithium secondary battery exhibiting a high charge-discharge capacity while using a conductive polymer such as polyaniline. To achieve the second object, there is provided a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery, comprising an electrically conductive polymer, and LiNiO2 and/or liFePO4.

  • Publication number: 20050050025
Abstract: An information gathering system is provided which can gather information from input data or output data of a terminal, without requiring a specific operation of a user. The system includes servers and terminals connected over a network. In this system, at least one or more keywords are specified in advance and stored in a keyword list holding unit. Then, a keyword recognition unit detects a match or association between one of the keywords and information input to an input unit or output from an output unit in the terminal. With this arrangement, specific information is acquired.

  • Publication number: 20030033173
Abstract: When an application for start of an insurance contract having the contents agreed in advance between a user and an insurance company is made from a portable telephone of the user to an insurance contract computer, the insurance contract computer starts an insurance period and when an application for stop is sent, the insurance period is stopped. An insurance premium is figured out in accordance with a time count of the insurance period. Various kinds of input-troublesome information to be presented to the insurance company at the time of insurance contract are registered in advance in a memory device connected in advance to the insurance contract computer. The portable telephone has the position measuring function and can periodically notify the insurance contract computer of the present position of the portable telephone. The insurance contract computer calculates a moving distance of the user from that position and adjusts the insurance premium.

  • Patent number: 6421630
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and method for monitoring a VDT operation which allow flexible control over a VDT. A VDT operation monitoring apparatus for putting a VDT in a rest state when a preset operating time passes, with which an operator can select “start operation”, “continue operation” or “stop operation” while the operating time is being measured. This allows a flexible action to be taken when the operator is replaced or when the operating time is to be changed. When a measured time agrees with the operating time, the VDT is put in a rest state and the operator is instructed to take a rest.
