  • Patent number: 11897022
Abstract: A fin according to the present disclosure is a corrugated fin formed of a metal plate by bending into a corrugated shape, and the corrugated fin includes peak portions extending in a first direction, valley portions extending in the first direction, and inclined portions connecting the peak portions and the valley portions adjacent to each other. The peak portions and the valley portions are alternately arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a thickness of the metal plate at each apex of the peak portions and the valley portions is larger than a thickness of the inclined portions of the metal plate.

  • Patent number: 11466936
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes multiple tubes and multiple fins. Each of the tubes has a tubular shape extending in a horizontal direction. Each of the fins is disposed between adjacent ones of the tubes in a vertical direction vertical to the horizontal direction. Each of the fins is corrugated and includes bent portions located near the adjacent ones of the tubes and flat plate portions each of which extends in the vertical direction to connect between two of the bent portions. Each of the fins includes a pair of slits and an offset portion. At least a portion of the pair of slits extends to one of the bent portions. The offset portion is formed by having a portion of each of the fins between the pair of slits recessed inward of the one of the bent portions.

  • Publication number: 20070029073
Abstract: An offset-shaped fin 4 can be continuously processed by roll molding by a method involving a first step of bending a flat sheet-like material 40A into a concavo-convex shape by a pair of first rollers 5, 5? to form a corrugate sheet 40B; a second step of cutting slopes of the concavo-convex ridges of the corrugate sheet by a pair of second rollers; and a third step of bending the offset portion, offset and cut in the second step, by a pair of third rollers. A pitch-changing method of offset-shaped fins involves a step of supplying offset-shaped fins between at least one pair of pitch-changing rollers rotating while meshing with the other so that at least one pair of pitch-changing rollers clamp the offset-shaped fins between them, allow them to pass through said pitch-changing rollers and change their pitch.

  • Patent number: 6357518
Abstract: A corrugated fin for a double heat exchanger having a condenser and a radiator integrally includes a condenser fin and a radiator fin. Each of the condenser fin and the radiator fin has plural bent portions and plural flat portions each of which connects adjacent bent portions. A louver-forming processing amount of the flat portion of the condenser fin is set smaller than that of the flat portion of the radiator fin. Plural dimple-shaped plastically deformed portions are formed in the flat portion of the condenser fin, so that a whole processing amount of the condenser fin becomes substantially equal to that of the radiator fin. As a result, a radius of curvature of each bent portion of the condenser fin is substantially equal to that of the radiator fin, and the integrated fin is restricted from being deformed.

  • Patent number: 6213196
Abstract: A double heat exchanger for a vehicle air conditioner combining a condenser and a radiator has a corrugated condenser fin and a corrugated radiator fin integrally formed and having the same fin pitch. Each of the condenser and radiator fins has plural upper folds, plural lower folds and plural wall portions each of which connects one of the upper folds and one of the lower folds next to each other. An inclination angle of each of the wall portions of the condenser fin is made different from that of each of the wall portions of the radiator fin. As a result, a height of the condenser fin becomes different from that of the radiator fin while maintaining a radius of curvature of each of the upper and lower folds of the condenser fin equal to that of each of the upper and lower folds of the radiator fin.
