    Abstract: An image reading device includes a first reading device, a second reading device, and circuitry. The first reading device reads an image of one surface of a document. The second reading device reads an image of other surface of the document. The circuitry detects a first skew angle of skew in the read image of the one surface, performs skew correction on the image of the one surface based on the first skew angle, and forms a second skew angle for the image of the other surface. The second skew angle corresponds to reverse of the first skew angle. The circuitry further performs the skew correction on the image of the other surface based on the second skew angle, and outputs at least one of the image of the one surface subjected to the skew correction and the image of the other surface subjected to the skew correction.

    Abstract: A vehicular electronic device has a semiconductor package and a multilayer wiring board. An electrode pad of the multilayer wiring board, to which a signal terminal of the semiconductor package is soldered, has a wiring pattern in an inner layer of the multilayer wiring board. A solder resist is applied and spaced from a periphery of the electrode pad to the exterior. The signal terminal is soldered to the electrode pad to cover an upper surface and an upper end of a side surface of the electrode pad. As a result, a crack is less likely to occur in solder connected to the signal terminal. Therefore, the signal terminal can be electrically connected with high reliability even when the signal terminal is provided in the semiconductor package with a small number.

As a polyol, a polyol component obtained by mixing a polyester polyol having an excellent compatibility with polyether polyol such as adipate of a long-chain alkylene glycol having at least 5 carbon atoms with a foaming agent, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer, etc. is reacted with a polyisocyanate to obtain a flexible polyurethane foam having good resistance to wet heat aging and resistance to ozone deterioration. Further, the incorporation of a specific aromatic secondary amine compound, a monofunctionally-terminated compound and an ultraviolet absorbent in the foam composition makes it possible to obtain a flexible foam having better resistance to ozone deterioration and weather resistance.

    Abstract: There is disclosed an active matrix liquid crystal display that receives input signals having small amplitudes and needs no externally attached level-shifting circuit. The active matrix liquid crystal display has a level-shifting circuit for amplifying various input signals, such as control signals, a clock signal, and a start pulse signal, and supplying the amplified signals to peripheral driver circuits. These peripheral driver circuits drive an active matrix circuit. The level-shifting circuit is made of a differential amplifier consisting of polysilicon TFTs. This amplifier is an analog amplifier. This level-shifting circuit is fabricated on the same substrate as the active matrix circuit and the peripheral driver circuits. If the amplitudes of the input signals are small, level-shifting operations can be performed well. Since any externally attached level-shifting circuit is dispensed with, the cost can be curtailed.

    Abstract: An active-matrix image display device which includes n shift registers, analog switches for sampling video input signals and a data-signal-line driving circuit to which n series of clock signals and n.times.m series of video input signals are input, and controls the analog switches according to the result of a logic operation of output pulses from successive l stages in the shift registers. A scanning circuit without using shift registers. Here, n is an integer not smaller than one, m and l are integers not smaller than two. With the image display device, sampling of video signals is surely executed without increasing the number of shift registers. It is thus possible to reduce the size and weight of the image display device and to decrease the defect rate thereof. Moreover, the scanning circuit achieves a higher yield compared with a conventional scanning circuit using a shift register.

The described arrangement enables the gain of the signal amplifier to be set by a capacitance of the condenser, thereby providing a signal amplifier circuit which permits the gain to be set much more precisely as compared to the conventional signal amplifier circuits even when adopting a signal amplifier formed on a semiconductor thin film such as a polycrystalline silicone thin film. The arrangement also provides a signal amplifier circuit which permits a voltage in the same level as a voltage of the input signal to be outputted.

    Abstract: A polyurethane foam for a sealant is disclosed which is produced from a composition prepared by compounding reaction mixture comprising a polyisocyanate ingredient and a polyol ingredient with a given amount by weight of an ozone inhibitor ingredient. A sealant of a predetermined shape is obtained from the foam. The polyol ingredient may be one ordinarily used for producing soft polyurethane foams, but especially preferably comprises a polyester-polyether polyol having both an ester segment and an ether segment in the molecular chain. The foam has excellent resistance to ozone deterioration and hence retains a sufficient air permeability required of a sealant for practical use. Further, the foam suffers little decrease in tensile strength from the initial value because it also has excellent resistance to deterioration by moisture and heat, i.e., high hydrolytic stability.
