    Abstract: A telescopic assembly includes a yoke supported for rotation on a stationary member, a shaft fitted in telescoping relation inside the yoke, rotatably supported by a movable bracket and capable of being reciprocated together with the movable bracket relative to the yoke, a screw rotatably retained by a stationary bracket, and a nut threadedly engaged with the screw and fixed to the movable bracket. When the screw is rotated, the nut provided on the movable bracket moves axially along the screw so that the movable bracket is moved toward or away from the stationary bracket. Hence, the shaft supported by the movable bracket is displaced axially forward or backward, depending upon the direction of screw rotation, relative to the yoke, thereby enabling the portion of the shaft projecting from the yoke to be adjusted in length.

The system includes primary and secondary hydraulic pumps, the primary pump having the function of applying hydraulic pressure to the power cylinder and the secondary pump having the function of applying hydraulic pressure to the reaction mechanism in proportion to the vehicle speed. The secondary pump is unitedly assembled with the primary pump to be driven by the prime mover, and comprises a first control valve for controlling the quantity of fluid applied to the reaction mechanism for the secondary pump in a constant amount, and a second control valve for controlling the pressure of fluid controlled by the first control valve in accordance with the vehicle speed.

To the piston rod is secured fixedly a guide having a cylindrical portion provided on an outer periphery with a thread. A movable member provided on an inner periphery with a thread engaging the thread on the guide is coupled with the guide by the engagement of both threads. The movable member is secured fixedly to the upper seat. The piston rod is provided with a tool engaging portion which is turned to adjust the car height.

    Abstract: A shaft member oscillatably supporting a suspension arm and inserted into slots provided respectively in a pair of spaced arm supporting members secured fixedly to a chassis comprises a bolt and a hollow shaft for receiving the bolt. A disk-shaped cam is disposed on one end of the hollow shaft. The hollow shaft is provided on the other end with a non-round fit portion. An engaging member having a non-round hole into which the fit portion is inserted is provided with a cam surface having the same profile as that of the disk, a tool engaging portion outside this cam face and a threaded portion into which is screwed the bolt. The bolt is screwed into the threaded hole of the engaging member from the outside of the cam and fastened temporarily. When the engaging member is turned with a tool, the cam faces of the cam and engaging member engage respective guide walls provided on the arm supporting members and rotate to move the shaft member along the slots.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor transistor device, specifically a Schottky barrier gate field-effect transistor, having an excellent performance at high frequency due to an exceedingly short gate length. An electrically conductive active layer is formed on a semi-insulating semiconductor substrate. Two adjacent walls are formed on the adjacent layer, are made of resist material, and extended linearly parallel to one another. Ohmic electrode metal is then evaporated obliquely with respect to the vertical surfaces of the two walls to form an ohmic electrode layer on the active layer in areas except for that lying between the two walls. A layer of Schottky barrier metal is then deposited between the two walls, and then the two walls are removed to remove the layers of ohmic electrode metal and Schottky barrier metal on the two walls.
