  • Publication number: 20080226263
Abstract: A digest view system includes an information providing server and a recording/reproducing device. The information providing server includes a segment information DB for storing segment information for identifying segments contained in the content digest. When performing a digest view, the recording/reproducing device acquires the segment information and creates digest data on the content recorded. In the recording/reproducing device, the digest data is corrected according to view support information for inserting an explanation screen acquired from the view support information DB of the information providing server, thus improving the quality of view of the segment contained in the digest.

  • Publication number: 20040207501
Abstract: A wound coil member alternately includes first ring layers and second ring layers in a row. The first ring layer is formed in a manner that a coil wire is concentrically and inwardly wound by the given number of turns. By contrast, the second ring layer is formed in a manner that the coil wire is concentrically and outwardly wound by the certain number of turns. Here, a portion of the coil wire that transfers between the first ring layers and second ring layers does not cross over, but only runs upon any adjacent portions of the coil wire. As a result, even after the wound coil member is compressed, the compressed coil member does not easily involve a local deformation. Breakage of the coil wire, reduction of the cross sectional area, or damage of the coating can be thereby restricted.

  • Patent number: 5991244
Abstract: An information reproducing system for selecting a reproduction item and reproducing an information unit corresponding to the selected reproduction item is provided. The system includes a recording medium, a displaying apparatus, a selecting apparatus, and a reproducing apparatus. The reproduction items are displayed in a menu on the displaying apparatus. The selecting apparatus outputs instruction signals for selecting one of the reproduction items displayed in the menu. The reproducing apparatus reads out the information unit corresponding to the selected reproduction item from the recording medium and reproduces it. The selecting apparatus and the reproducing apparatus are disposed in separate casings and are connected to each other with a wire. The selecting apparatus has a small number of switches. The reproducing apparatus has a controller having several universal terminals. Each switch of the selecting apparatus is connected with a respective universal terminal through a single line.

  • Patent number: 5725370
Abstract: A dental tip comprises a proximal end portion connected to a drive source and a distal end portion adapted to act on a region to be subjected to dental treatment. The distal and proximal end portions are formed of a composite-material molded product which includes a plastic base material and an inorganic filler or/and an organic filler compounded therewith. This tip can produce the same treatment effect as a conventional one without damaging teeth or prostheses in dental treatment, and can be manufactured with ease. Thus, the tip is low-priced and disposable.
