  • Patent number: 5619971
Abstract: The inside of the housing is divided into a low pressure fuel area formed from a fuel inflow port through a feed pump 4 and a high pressure fuel area that can communicate with inflow/outflow ports for fuel. For instance, the low pressure fuel area may be formed as a path extending from the fuel intake port that communicates with the circumferential area of the front end of the rotor to the feed pump via the circumferential area of the rotor support member and a passage for inducing fuel from the high pressure fuel area to the circumferential area of the front end of the rotor may be formed between the rotor and its support member. The flow of fuel in the area where the rotor slides in contact with its support member is ensured, and oil film loss is prevented. With this, cooling and good lubrication in the rotor sliding contact area, where heat is likely to be generated, are promoted, to prevent seizure in the sliding contact area.

  • Patent number: 5513965
Abstract: In an innercam system fuel injection pump, plungers 15 are provided in the direction of the radius of a rotating member 10 which rotates in synchronization with the engine. A cam ring 18, which regulates the movement of the plungers, is fixed in a housing 2. A first sleeve 25 for regulating the timing with which a cutoff port 22 opens and a second sleeve 26 for regulating the timing with which an intake port 21 opens are externally fitted on the rotating member 10 in such a manner that they can slide freely. The first sleeve 25 and the second sleeve 26 interlock with each other in a specific relationship and a timer mechanism 40, which is directly linked to the second sleeve 26, controls the quantity of rotation of the second sleeve 26. With this, stable injection timing control can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 5334302
Abstract: A magnetron sputtering apparatus which includes a vacuum chamber, a plurality of sputtering guns, arranged in the vacuum chamber, for emitting sputter particles, a support member for supporting an object to be processed, on which a thin film is to be formed within the vacuum chamber, and a movement mechanism for moving the sputtering guns and the support member relative to each other, wherein sputter particles sputtered from the target by the plasma produced in the recess are deposited on the object to be processed. Each sputtering gun includes a target having a recess, a sputtering gas supplying pass for supplying a sputtering gas into the recess, an electric field producing mechanism for producing an electric field in the recess, thereby generating a plasma of the sputtering gas, and a magnetic field producing mechanism for production, in the recess, of a magnetic field including a component which crosses the electric field at right angles.

  • Patent number: 5165851
Abstract: There is disclosed an improved cam for a fuel injection pump. The cam has a mountain-like cam projection at its surface disposed in contact with a roller. The cam projection has a lift region extending from a leading end thereof to a peak thereof. At the lift region, the cam is lifted in response to the rotation of the cam, so that a plunger is moved to pressurize fuel in a pump chamber. The lift region has first, second and third angle portions arranged in this order from the leading end of the cam projection toward the peak of the cam projection. The first angle portion serves to increase a lift speed of the cam, and terminates in a position where the lift speed becomes the maximum. The second angle portion serves to lower the lift speed. The deceleration is greater at an initial section of the second angle portion than at a final portion of the second angle portion.

  • Patent number: 5115783
Abstract: A method for varying the flow rate of fuel in a distributor-type electronic control fuel-injection pump. A single solenoid valve is used to control the timing of initiating and terminating fuel delivery. A cam is operated under four different modes, a low idle or a low speed/low load zone, a middle load zone, a high load zone, and a governing or high idle zone in that order as the cam is rotated. At the governing or high idle zone, the solenoid valve is closed before the cam is lifted and is opened to control fuel delivery when it is terminated.

  • Patent number: 5080564
Abstract: A prestroke control device for a fuel injection pump includes at least one control sleeve slidably fitted on at least one plunger, a control rod engaging the control sleeve, the control rod extending perpendicularly to the plunger and rotatable about an axis thereof for varying an axial position of the control sleeve relative to the plunger to thereby control the prestroke of the plunger, and an actuator for rotatively driving the control rod about its own axis. A counterweight is movable in unison with rotation of the control rod for cancelling a rotating force generated by axial movement of the control sleeve and acting upon the control rod.

  • Patent number: 5072473
Abstract: In a full-automated washer, a cloth amount sensor detects a quantity of an object being washed which is thrown into a washing drum as a value inclusive of information regarding a degree of bulkiness of the object to be washed. A processing circuit included in the full-automated washer is responsive to a detection output signal from the cloth amount sensor to determine a water supply amount, a cleanser feed amount, a stirring time and a rinsing time. The cloth amount sensor is mounted to a stirring motor. Upon an OFF-state of the motor, the detection output signal is generated by measuring a voltage waveform induced by inertial motion which varies in accordance the degree of bulkiness of the object to be washed.
