  • Publication number: 20070135689
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for calculating the emotion of a human being, the emotion of a user of the apparatus is calculated from the pressure acting on an object. A pressure sensor is provided in a mobile phone and detects the pressure with which the user grips the mobile phone and the pressure exerted by the user in key inputting. An emotion calculating unit calculates emotional data of the user based on the pressures detected by the pressure sensor. The emotion data is a value pertinent to affect-induction as one dimension of an emotional model. The mobile phone feeds the emotion calculated to a user or to a counterpart party of the user or to a counterpart party of a communication with the user.

  • Patent number: 7224282
Abstract: A sound, a video and/or other environments are proposed in tune with the physical condition of a user and a peripheral environmental condition such that it becomes possible for users to feel comfortable and to be satisfied with their sensibility. It is designed to produce an objective sound, video and/or other environments by inputting bio-information of a user such as breathing, pulse-beats and heartbeats or environment information such as weather, date and hour and ambient temperature, by comparing information with the accumulated information utilized in the past, or by setting a condition that the user desires.

  • Patent number: 7199708
Abstract: By providing bio-information and/or environment information between a pair of users, it becomes possible for the users to understand the situation or the feeling of each other more deeply and earlier. A communication system for exchanging the situations and the feelings of both the users is provided without performing optional communication operations, such as a telephone call and an e-mail. The condition or the situation on the transmitter side is to be judged and to be notified to the receiver side by inputting bio-information such as breathing, pulse-beats and heartbeats or environment information such as weather, date and hour, ambient temperature, or alternatively, by comparing, synchronizing and/or relating the bio-information and/or the environment information at present with respect to the bio-information and/or the environment information in the past. With respect to the situation of the receiver side, it is also notified similarly to the transmitter side.

  • Publication number: 20070024427
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic apparatus having its operation controlled electronically responsive to the wax and the wane of the moon. The electronic apparatus includes a moon age calendar (4) for storage of the age of the moon, a timer (3) for timing the current date and time, and an image database (5) for storage of moon images. A display controller (6) retrieves the age of the moon, consistent with the current date of time, from the moon age calendar (4), and reads out a moon image of the moon phase consistent with the age of the moon from the image database (5). An operating panel (9) includes a display area for demonstrating the operating state of the electronic apparatus and another display area for demonstrating the wax and the wane of the moon. The display controller (6) causes the moon image to be read out from an image database (5) and demonstrated in the display area for demonstrating the wane of the moon.

  • Publication number: 20060189879
Abstract: A bio-information presenting method and a bio-information presenting device, for presenting to a user bio-information, indicating a movement of a physical organ of the user. The movement of a bodily organ of the user, controlled voluntarily or involuntarily, is fed back to the user, and a background image is stored in a storage unit for subsequent image data for composition. An image processing unit compounds an image of the user, captured by a camera, with a background image. In compounding the images, the image of the user is subjected to fade-in and fade-out in association with an output of a breathing sensor. The user is apprized of the inhalation period, exhalation period and the depth of breathing, based on an image on a display unit. The change in the display image surface represents certain changes in the user's breathing.
