Patent number: 11957475Abstract: A biometric information processing device (1) includes a brain wave detecting unit (10), a control unit (20), and a movement assisting unit (30). The brain wave detecting unit (10) detects biometric information in at least one brain region from among a plurality of brain regions that are selectable in accordance with a body part that is a target of function recovery or function improvement. The control unit (20) determines, based on the detected biometric information, at least one activity state in the brain including the location of the brain region(s) that is (are) activated in a subject while attempting to move the body part, and an activation level of such activated brain region(s). When the control unit (20) determines that the at least one activated state of the brain satisfies a predetermined condition, the movement assisting unit (30) executes a predetermined motion to assist movement of the body part.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2017Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: KEIO UNIVERSITYInventors: Junichi Ushiba, Fumio Liu, Kenichi Takasaki, Atsuko Nishimoto, Miho Hiramoto, Katsuhiro Mizuno, Meigen Liu, Toshiyuki Fujiwara

Publication number: 20120177909Abstract: A ceramic substrate for mounting a luminescent element has a high reflectivity of 90% or above in ultraviolet to infrared regions (350 nm to 1,000 nm) and has satisfactory mechanical properties. A ceramic substrate for mounting a luminescent element includes a content of aluminum oxide of from 94 mass % to 97 mass %, silicon oxide, and at least one of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide. The ceramic substrate has a porosity of from 2.5% to 4.5%, a number of pores of from 7,000 to 11,000, and a cumulative relative frequency of 70% or above in an equivalent circle diameter of 1.6 ?m or less in a pore distribution, when viewing pores having an equivalent circle diameter of 0.8 ?m or more in a surface area portion of 9.074×105 ?m2 of a surface of the substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2010Publication date: July 12, 2012Applicant: KYOCERA CORPORATIONInventors: Kazuhito Uchino, Kenichi Nishimoto

Patent number: 6251151Abstract: An air cleaner for use in combination with a fuel system of an engine, includes an air cleaning element housed within a casing. Air introduced from an air inlet, defined in the casing, follows an air flow path from the air inlet passing through the air cleaning element. The air flow path includes a direction change of approximately ninety degrees. This direction change transpires over a curved guide surface formed in the casing to reduce the likelihood of vortexes which reduce the air ram pressure. The curved guide surface may include a detachable panel. Also, the panel may include an air path to an air branch chamber. When two air inlets are used, it is advantageous to include a partitioning wall separating the two air flow paths prior to the air cleaning element.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 1999Date of Patent: June 26, 2001Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Koki Kobayashi, Masayuki Dazai, Kenichi Nishimoto, Kenichi Nishizawa

Patent number: 5911466Abstract: Wing portions are used to reinforce ground pressure of a front wheel of a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, in which a center of gravity of the vehicle in a driver riding state is positioned between a front wheel and a rear wheel of the vehicle. The wing portions, each of which is provided in such a manner that an aerodynamic center thereof is positioned forward and downward from the center of gravity of the vehicle, produces down-lift.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1997Date of Patent: June 15, 1999Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Konomu Hoshi, Hiroaki Hasumi, Kenichi Nishimoto, Kouichi Kobayashi

Patent number: 5705880Abstract: An electronic device which has piezoelectric resonators and terminals piled in a box-like case. The electronic device has a couple of terminals, each of which has a contact portion and a junction portion extending from the contact portion. In the case, the couple of terminals are integrated by electrically connecting the junction portions.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 1995Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Shimura, Kenichi Nishimoto, Masanari Nishikigawa, Takashi Hosoe, Masaaki Tutiya, Hirohide Yoshino, Manabu Sumita, Takeshi Yamazaki, Sigeo Ojima, Sadayuki Kato

Patent number: 5490573Abstract: A pair of air inlet openings and a pair of air introduction paths are formed in a leftwardly and rightwardly symmetrical relationship on left and right side portions of a windshield. The air introduction paths are each formed as a smooth continuous curved face in a transverse direction, and a body center side curved face of the air introduction path is formed more moderate relative to an outer side curved face. When surface air flows along the surface of the front face flow on the air introduction paths since the body center side curved faces are moderate, exfoliation occurs less likely, and the external air admission efficiency of the air inlet openings is raised.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1994Date of Patent: February 13, 1996Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shinji Hagiwara, Kouichi Kobayashi, Kouji Shimokawa, Kenichi Nishimoto

Patent number: 4911494Abstract: A cowling assembly is mounted on a front portion of the frame of a motorcycle. The cowling assembly includes a cowling covering a front portion of the frame, a windshield disposed on and continuously blending into a central upper portion of the cowling, and a pair of air ducts extending along laterally opposite sides of the windshield and having an air inlet for introducing an air flow developed when the motorcycle is running into the cowling and an air outlet for discharging the air flow introduced from the air inlet in a substantially upward direction. The air inlet is positioned near a lower end of the windshield on each side of the cowling, and the air outlet is positioned at an upper end of the cowling.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1988Date of Patent: March 27, 1990Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Akira Imai, Takahisa Suzuki, Kenichi Nishimoto, Ken Yamaguchi
