  • Patent number: 6474449
Abstract: In an elevator, guide devices are attached to the elevator and include a guide lever driven in a plane; a guide element attached to the guide lever; a stationary actuator part fixed to a support member; and a moving actuator part fixed to the guide lever, wherein a first part of the moving actuator part and the stationary section is a magnet that generates a magnetic field crossing a driving direction of the moving actuator part, a second part of the moving actuator part and the stationary section is a coil wound around a bobbin which is arranged so that it is influenced by the magnetic field and drives the movable section of the actuator in the driving direction of the movable section of the actuator. The magnetic field is generated by an electric current flowing in the coil when the elevator car is vibrated.

  • Patent number: 6159542
Abstract: There is provided a process for producing an acid-resistant membrane for separating a mixture, which is used for separation of a liquid and/or gas mixture by pervaporation, vapor permeation etc. The process for producing a membrane for separating a mixture comprises a step of carrying seed crystals of T-type zeolite on a porous support; a step of stirring an aqueous mixture containing a silica source, an alumina source, sodium ions, and potassium ions as the starting materials and then aging the mixture for a predetermined time and a step of immersing the porous support carrying the seed crystals in the aged mixture and then subjecting it to hydrothermal reaction to deposit T-type zeolite on the porous support. There can be provided the separation membrane on which chemical resistance such as acid resistance and alkali resistance as well as durability besides the molecular sieve ability of zeolite itself have been conferred.

  • Patent number: 6149472
Abstract: An electrical terminal for use with a resin-made connector housing containing a locking lance, consists of a terminal body having a collar projecting circumferentially therearound, and a locking member separate from the terminal body. The locking member has engagement means engageable with the collar to retain the locking member longitudinally in place on the terminal body. The locking member engages with the locking lance to lock the terminal in the connector housing. The locking member is made of resin so that during moving the terminal into and out of the connector housing, resin is prevented from being shaved off from the connector housing including the locking lance.

  • Patent number: 6111418
Abstract: In the contact probe 1 having an array of leads 3 densely attached to a surface of an insulative film 2, pressure contact ends are formed by one end of the leads 3 being arranged in an array along one end edge portion of the insulative film 3. Slots are formed in the one end edge portion of the insulative film 2 such that the slots 9 are open between adjacent contact ends. When the lead ends arranged in the array on the surface of the insulative film are contacted under pressure with a given electronic part, a sufficient degree of freedom of flexure of the contact ends is obtained, so that the contact ends are contacted under pressure with the external terminals of the electronic part.

  • Patent number: 5611703
Abstract: A lever-type connector in which the need for a resilient member is obviated, thereby saving cost, and including engagement portions are less liable to damage or to deterioration due to aging when a large impact force is accidentally applied, this impact force can be effectively relieved, thereby preventing damage to the engagement portions. The lever-type connector includes a pair of female and male connectors. Engagement shafts are formed on the male connector, and a retaining lever, having fitting grooves, is mounted on the female connector for pivotal movement about support shafts. When the retaining lever is pivotally moved, the engagement shafts are forcibly moved through the fitting grooves, thereby fitting the male connector into the female connector.

  • Patent number: 5118568
Abstract: A steel cord for reinforcing rubber. It is made of three steel filaments all having different diameters from one another. The small-diameter and medium-diameter ones of the three filaments have internal stresses adapted to be released when the cord is cut at both ends thereof. Owing to these stresses, the diameter of the cord is adapted to increase after it is cut at both ends. At the same time, the medium-diameter and small-diameter filaments retract inwardly from the ends of the large-diameter and medium-diameter ones, respectively.
