Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes an indexing module, an image select module, an image extraction module, and an image display module. The indexing module generates index information of a plurality of still images. The image select module selects a still image from the plurality of still images. The image extraction module extracts still images which are relevant to the selected still image from the plurality of still images by using the index information. The image display module displays a moving picture using the extracted still images.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an indexing module is configured to analyze a plurality of still images and to generate index information indicative of attributes of the plurality of still images. The index information comprises recognition results of a plurality of face images in the plurality of still images. An extracting module is configured to extract first still images and second still images from the plurality of still images based on the index information. The first still images include face images of a selected person, the second still images are relevant to the selected person, and the second still images comprise at least a still image including a face image of another person relevant to the selected person. A player module is configured to play back a movie using the extracted first still images and the extracted second still images.

Abstract: In one embodiment, there is provided an electronic device. The electronic device includes: a first generator configured to generate a first image display mode in which image processing including at least one of an effect processing and a transition processing is applied to one or more still images based on image features of the still images; a second generator configured to generate a second image display mode in which one or more still images are switched over successively; and a switching module configured to output any one of the first and second image display modes and switch between the first image display mode and the second image display mode.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a viewer image generating module, a viewer recognition module, a group extraction module, and an image display module. The viewer image generating module generates an image of a viewer by capturing the image of the viewer. The viewer recognition module detects a face image in the generated image and recognizes the viewer corresponding to the detected face image. The group extraction module extracts, from a plurality of groups each including still images, groups including at least one of a still image including the face image of the viewer and a still image imported by the viewer. The image display module displays still images in the extracted groups on a screen.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus displays face images in each column of a plurality of face image display areas arranged in a matrix based on time stamp information, and displays thumbnail images in time-series in a thumbnail display area arranged at one side of a lower side or an upper side in the two dimensional display area. The apparatus displays one of the thumbnail images with a normal size and displays the others such that the lateral direction sizes are reduced in comparison with that of the thumbnail displayed in the normal size. Abstract: If a difference between feature values of frames from different shots is within a predetermined error range, one or more target frames are selected from each of the shots. Based on face areas in the selected target frames, the feature values of the target frames are calculated. If a difference between the feature values of the target frames is within a predetermined error range, these shots, from which these similar frames are originally retrieved, are assigned with the same shot attribute and set to be similar shots.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an image communication method for transmitting image data between a first terminal and a second terminal via a network, the method includes performing a bidirectional image communication including a transmission of first image data from the first terminal to the second terminal and a transmission of second image data from the second terminal to the first terminal, performing a notification to stop either transmission of the first image data or the second image data from one to the other of the first terminal and the second terminal, and stopping either transmission of the first image data or the second image data depending on the notification to perform a one-way image communication between the first terminal and the second terminal.
