  • Publication number: 20090020366
Abstract: An oil pan (130) comprises an oil pan cover (131) storing oil in an internal space and an oil pan separator (132) positioned in the internal space. The oil pan separator (132) is positioned so as to divide the internal space into a first chamber (30a), which has an oil strainer (41) at its bottom, and a second chamber (30b), which is adjacent to the first chamber (30a). The oil pan separator (132) includes a slope plate (132c) for capturing return oil that flows back from a cylinder block (20a) to an oil pan (130). Part of the captured return oil flows to the second chamber (30b) via a communication hole (132f) that is provided in the slope plate (132c). The remaining captured return oil flows into the first chamber (30a). This ensures that the oil level in the second chamber (30b) is higher than that in the first chamber (30a). Therefore, when a solenoid valve (133) opens at the end of a warm-up operation, the oil in the second chamber (30b) flows into the first chamber (30a).

Abstract: An oil pan separator 132 is disposed so as to divide a space within an oil pan 130 into a first chamber 30a and a second chamber 30b. The oil pan separator 132 has a protrusion 132b formed at a low position in such a manner that a portion of the first chamber 30a protrudes into the second chamber 30b. A protrusion upper-plate 132b1, which serves as an upper end portion of the protrusion 132b, is provided with an oil feed valve 138, which is a one-way valve, for allowing substantially only outflow of oil from the first chamber 30a to the second chamber 30b.

  • Publication number: 20080245318
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to improve the mixability of liquid hydrocarbon fuel and hydrogen gas and reduce the number of parts required for fuel supply means that supplies the two types of fuel. Disclosed is a hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engine that uses liquid hydrocarbon fuel and hydrogen gas as fuel. The hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engine comprises a fuel injection device for injecting hydrocarbon fuel; fuel supply means for supplying hydrocarbon fuel to the fuel injection device; and a microbubble generation device for generating microbubbles of hydrogen gas and mixing the generated microbubbles of hydrogen gas into liquid hydrocarbon fuel in the fuel supply means. The hydrogen gas microbubbles are supplied, for instance, to a fuel supply path (second fuel supply path) and fuel tank, which constitute the fuel supply means.

  • Publication number: 20080174508
Abstract: An array antenna apparatus includes a first feeding element having a first feed point, a second feeding element having a second feed point, and a first parasitic element electrically connected to the respective first and second feeding elements. In a first frequency band, respective resonances in the feeding elements occur independent of each other, by eliminating electromagnetic mutual coupling between the feeding elements, and exciting the first feeding element through the first feed point as well as exciting the second feeding element through the second feed point. In a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band, a loop antenna having a certain electrical length is formed by the first and second feeding elements and the first parasitic element, and a resonance of the loop antenna substantially occurs by exciting the first feeding element through the first feed point.
