  • Publication number: 20070149042
Abstract: A cable connector comprises a housing, a signal conductive contact having a first transformable portion for holding a core conductor of a coaxial cable in a condition of caulking connection, a ground conductive contact having a second transformable portion for holding an outer conductor of the coaxial cable in a condition of caulking connection, and a cover member for engaging with the housing to cover the first transformable portion of the signal conductive contact and the second transformable portion of the ground conductive contact and operating to transform the first transforming portion of the signal conductive contact so as to hold the core conductor of the coaxial cable in the condition of caulking connection and to transform also the second transforming portion of the ground conductive contact so as to hold the outer conductor of the coaxial cable in the condition of caulking connection.

  • Patent number: 6165028
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved card bus connector whose insulating housing has bifurcate contact pieces and a shield plate fixed thereto. The leads of the bifurcate contact pieces and shield plate are connected to selected conductors of an associated printed circuit. The insulating housing has a contact-support mold press-fitted in its rear opening. The contact-support mold has the contact-to-lead transitions of the female contact pieces embedded therein. Each bifurcate contact piece has a stem offset from its center longitudinal contact line.

  • Patent number: 6139338
Abstract: A compatible CF card adapter (1) permits a thick or thin CF card (7) to be nested therewith. The CF card adapter includes pin contacts (4a) projecting from a housing (4b) for mating with the female contacts of the CF card. The CF card adapter has a slidable contact cover (4f) spring-biased to enclose the pin contacts (4a). The contact cover (4f) is responsive to insertion of the CF card for yieldingly withdrawing to expose the pin contacts (4a) behind, thereby permitting the pin contacts (4a) to be mated with the receptacle terminals of the CF card.

  • Patent number: 6109931
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved CF card adapter comprising a synthetic resin frame, upper and bottom metal covers attached to the synthetic resin frame, a CF card receptacle formed on the rear side of the synthetic resin frame, a pin header having pin contacts exposed on its rear side; a printed circuit board whose printed circuit is connected to the pin contacts of the pin header, and a female receptacle connector part formed on the front side of the adapter body. The female receptacle connector part is electrically connected to the printed circuit, and is adapted to be inserted in the PC card slot of an electric or electronic device. One of the upper and bottom metal covers has grounding pieces integrally connected to the length round the outside of the rectangular metal sheet. These grounding pieces are CF card grounding pieces, printed circuit grounding pieces, and grounding pieces to the PC card slot and the other metal cover.

  • Patent number: 5934941
Abstract: Disclosed are an improved card connector and a method of mounting the same on an associated printed circuit board. The card connector comprises an insulating housing having contact pieces fixed therein and a shield plate detachably fixed to the surface of the insulating housing. Such a card connector can be mounted to the associated printed circuit board by: soldering the leads of the contact pieces to selected conductors in the printed circuit; and then soldering the leads of the shield to another selected conductors in the printed circuit. The two-step separate soldering permits the contact-to-conductor solderings to be checked in the absence of overhanging grounding leads. Therefore, incomplete or defective solderings, if found in the contact-to-conductor solderings would be fixed with much less difficulty than the cluster of overhanging and underlying lead-to-conductor solderings.
