Patent number: 7414810Abstract: A magnetic head structure has a coil and a magnetic pole allowing a magnetic flux generated by the coil to be transmitted therethrough and forming a magnetic gap. An insulating layer surrounds the coil, and a protective layer covers the insulating layer and the magnetic pole. The insulating layer has a volume equal to or greater than a value which is determined with respect to a thickness of the protective layer. It is preferable to increase the volume of the insulating layer as the thickness of the protective layer is made greater. By increasing the volume of the insulating layer, the protrusion of a portion of a floating surface of the magnetic head slider near the magnetic pole, toward the disk, is reduced.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2004Date of Patent: August 19, 2008Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Kenichiro Aoki, Toshinori Hoshino, Toshiyuki Nakada, Keiji Aruga, Hiroshi Maeda

Publication number: 20070188915Abstract: A magnetic coil of a thin film magnetic head includes uniform upper and lower coil pattern pieces extending in the direction parallel to the medium-opposed surface at a constant width. A magnetic pole has the front end exposed at the medium-opposed surface. The magnetic pole extends backward from the front end. The length of the uniform lower and upper coil pattern pieces correspond to the width of the magnetic pole. The thin film magnetic head enables establishment of the narrowest width at the uniform upper and lower coil pattern pieces in the magnetic coil. The length of the magnetic pole is reduced as much as possible. The uniform upper and lower coil pattern pieces are also allowed to have a minimum length. The electric resistance is thus reduced in the magnetic coil. This results in establishment of an effective magnetic property in the thin film magnetic head.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2006Publication date: August 16, 2007Applicant: FUJITSU LIMITEDInventor: Kenichiro Aoki

Publication number: 20070005314Abstract: The present invention provides a numerical analysis model data generating program, method, and system for generating numerical analysis model data, which is used for numerical analysis, on the basis of three-dimensional shape data of a structure that is an object of analysis. Three-dimensional shape data defining the structure is inputted. Holes included in the inputted three-dimensional shape data are extracted, and the size of each of the holes is calculated. If the size of a given hole is smaller than a predetermined size, the hole is filled. Thus, numerical analysis model data is generated. According to the present invention, when the numerical analysis model data is generated, a relatively small amount of analysis model data can be generated without adversely affecting the accuracy in numerical analysis.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2006Publication date: January 4, 2007Applicant: FUJITSU LIMITEDInventors: Akira Ueda, Kenichiro Aoki
