  • Patent number: 10261662
Abstract: Enhanced contextual menu technology is disclosed herein. In an implementation, when a user selects content in a user interface to an application, a context associated with the content is identified. A child menu in a contextual menu hierarchy is then selected based on the context and is rendered in the user interface. In some implementations, the child menu includes a navigational element that links back to a parent of the child menu in the contextual menu hierarchy.

  • Publication number: 20020018519
Abstract: To provide an apparatus which reduces the scale of a reception circuit and the power consumption as the tracking function of tracking phase jitter of the multipath propagation route. A RAKE reception apparatus includes a plurality of finger circuits for receiving signals spectrum-spread by spread codes, despreading respective reception signals retrieved by a searcher adapted for retrieving respective paths from multipath reception signals for demodulating the signals, and a RAKE combiner for combining outputs of the plural finger circuits. Each of the plural finger circuits is provided with one DLL circuit without being provided with an inner DLL circuit. The finger circuits to be tracked by the DLL circuit are switched by a changeover circuit. There is provided a control circuit for controlling the changeover circuit based on the weighting information for each finger circuit to be found by the RAKE combiner for sequentially selecting the finger circuits to be tracked by the DLL circuit.

  • Patent number: 6148187
Abstract: The invention provides an automatic frequency control (AFC) method and circuit for use with a receiver by which deterioration of the reception characteristic of the receiver due to frequency error of the reference oscillator (e.g. a VCO) of a quasi-synchronous detection circuit arising from initial deviation, aging, or temperature characteristics is suppressed. During operation of the receiver, only when frame synchronization is established, the set value that the frequency control circuit determines for the VCO is periodically stored into a non-volatile memory together with current ambient temperature information of the VCO.

  • Patent number: 6125151
Abstract: The invention provides a carrier recovery circuit which reduces the amount of calculation processing recovered to renew the tap coefficients of an adaptive filter to achieve improvement performance at low signal-to-noise ratio and make high speed pull in possible. Tap coefficients of variable coefficient filter 12 of adaptive line enhancer 1 are blocked into a plurality of blocks, and switches of switch circuit 14 individually corresponding to the blocks are selected by coefficient renewal control circuit 3 and renewal of the tap coefficients of the selected block is executed by adaptive algorithm circuit 13. Since all tap coefficients need not necessarily be renewed at a time in each symbol cycle, only the tap coefficients of the selected block are renewed. Thus although the adaptive speed of the adaptive emission line emphasizer decreases, the adaptive line enhancer can be constructed with a narrower band.

  • Patent number: 5485489
Abstract: The present invention relates to a carrier recovery (CR) circuit for recovering carriers from offset quadrature phase shift keying (O-QPSK) modulated carriers, in which each of two orthogonal sequences of burst signals, to be modulated by the O-QPSK system, has a preamble field set in a prescribed bit pattern. In a Costas loop for recovering carriers by the QPSK system, a 1/2 symbol delay circuit makes the phases of burst signals inputted to two orthogonal channels identical to each other. A phase comparator for the bit timing recovery field adds with an adder 193 a detected carrier value detected by an arc tangent calculating circuit and a value resulting from the delaying of the detected carrier value with a one-symbol delay circuit, and supplies the added detected carrier value. A switching circuit switches and supplies the outputs of phase comparators, and enters the output into a loop filter.
