  • Patent number: 5745353
Abstract: A snubber circuit is possessed of a saturable inductor made of an amorphous alloy and connected in series to a drive circuit for a switching element. A switching power source is a flyback type self-excitation or separate excitation switching power source having a saturable inductor connected in series between a switching element connected in series to a primary winding of a transformer and a drive circuit for actuating the switching element. The saturable inductor connected in series to the switching element serves the purpose of improving efficiency and curbing noise. The saturable inductor of this invention is adapted for use in the snubber circuit and the switching power source mentioned above and has an exciting current, I.sub.ex, of not more than 3 (A) and an amount of magnetic flux, .PHI. (Wb/m.sup.2), in the range of from 2 to 20% of the product of the operating period, T (sec), multiplied by the circuit voltage (V).

  • Patent number: 4309489
Abstract: There are provided a low expansion alloy having a high corrosion resistance which consists essentially of 25-50% by weight of Ni, 1-25% by weight of Cu and optionally up to 20% by weight of Cr and the balance of essentially Fe with a small amount of impurities, and a corrosion resistant bimetal formed by applying together a low expansion alloy plate which consists essentially of 25-50% by weight of Ni, 1-25% by weight of Cu and optionally up to 20% by weight of Cr and the balance of essentially Fe, and a corrosion resistant alloy plate which has a linear expansion coefficient larger than that of said low expansion alloy plate by 5.times.10.sup.-6 .degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4131494
Abstract: Corrosion resistant magnetic alloy consisting essentially of Ni (20 to less than 35% by weight), Cr (3 to 15% by weight), at least one of Co (0.1 to 10% by weight) and Cu (0.1 to 15% by weight), and the balance of essentially Fe. The alloy is excellent in magnetic property, high in corrosion resistance and, thus, suitable for use as a magnetic shielding material.
