  • Patent number: 7073709
Abstract: An information processing method provided, wherein an identifier (ID) corresponding to an object is obtained based on information input from a sensor for detecting the object, and the obtained ID is continuously and repeatedly input to an information processing unit. The information processing unit compares a program that is set based on a newly-input ID with a program that is set based on an already-input ID, and ends the currently-executed program when the two programs are different from each other. In this method, by putting an object in a sensor effective area, a program corresponding to the ID of the object is started, and by removing the object from the sensor effective area, the program is ended.

  • Publication number: 20040130579
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is provided which allows a user to easily and intuitively manipulate information in a 3-dimensional virtual space. In the information processing apparatus, a main controller sets a first coordinate system in a real space on the basis of information associated with a real object and further sets a second coordinate system in a 3-dimensional virtual space corresponding to the real space on the basis of the first coordinate system. If a user places an input device at a particular position and angle in the first coordinate system with reference to the real object, the main controller places an object in the 3-dimensional virtual space at a place and angle in the second coordinate system corresponding to the place and angle of the input device in the first coordinate system, and the main controller displays an image of the object placed in the 3-dimensional virtual space on a display.

  • Publication number: 20040069085
Abstract: A vibration-proof structure for a gear transmission device includes a wave washer for pressing a gear of a gear transmission device that can move in an axial direction between opposed first and second fixed walls toward the first fixed wall. The wave washer is interposed between the gear and the second fixed wall. A cylindrical portion surrounding the wave washer is provided between one of the opposed end faces of the gear and the second fixed wall, and the cylindrical portion is in contact with the other end face to regulate an increase in the bending amount of the wave washer of a predetermined value. When the gear of the gear transmission device experiences vibration, the excessive bending of the wave washer for absorbing the vibration is restrained so that the wave washer can always exhibit a normal buffering function.

  • Patent number: 6188803
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image processing device for converting the number of pixels or scanning lines. In particular, the image processing device according to the present invention comprises an operator for carrying out interpolation operations and a memory for storing filter coefficient sets utilized in the interpolation operations. The memory stores filter coefficient sets each corresponding to each of the phases when the pixel interval of the original image is divided by a prescribed dividing number. Out of these filter coefficient sets, a filter coefficient set that corresponds to the phase closest to that of the pixel data to undergo interpolation operations is then outputted to the operator. The operator then carries out interpolation operations on the pixel data using these filter coefficient sets so that arbitrary format conversion becomes possible.

  • Patent number: 5910692
Abstract: To prevent a ball-threaded shaft from slipping out of a linear actuator, a linear actuator 10 has an output shaft 18 threaded in a nut 16 for moving forward and backward linearly with respect to an outer tube 22 secured to a housing 20. Linear reciprocating movement of the nut 16 is effected by a ball-threaded shaft 14 rotated normally and reversely by a driving motor 12. The shaft is held against axial displacement by a bearing assembly 8 having an axial disk 32 secured to a proximal end 24 of the ball-threaded shaft 14. On the nut side of the disk within the assembly are disposed a first tension receiving rotational body 36, a thrust bearing 45 and a second tension receiving rotational body 58. The assembly 8 is retained by a tension stopper 62 spread and inserted into an annular central groove 60 in the tube 22.

  • Patent number: 5890585
Abstract: A linear actuator in which the number of limit switches to be mounted, as well as the mounting position and direction of limit switches, can be selected with a high degree of freedom, the limit switch mounting spacing can be made short, and a positive operation is ensured while using a small number of components. Flat limit switch mounting flanges are fixed onto an outer cylinder of a linear actuator so that their positions are adjustable in both axial and circumferential directions of the outer cylinder, and a guide rail for slidably guiding a striker is supported by and between the limit switch mounting flanges. The striker is connected with the actuator rod of the actuator by a connecting rod. With projection or retraction of the actuating rod, the striker moves and actuates limit switches attached to the associated limit switch mounting flanges.

  • Patent number: 5864706
Abstract: A digital signal processing apparatus and information processing system provide sufficient arithmetic operation performance to process high rate signals in real time and high programming performance to deal with various applications. A group of processor elements is constituted by individual processor elements each formed by disposing an arithmetic and logic unit on the bit lines of a multiport memory wherein their number is equal to or larger than the number of the data bits in a series of serial data, and the plurality of processor elements constituting the group of processor elements are uniformly controlled by controllers mounted on the same silicon chip. Consequently, the multiport memory functioning as a buffer for input data and the arithmetic and logic unit are closely joined together, so data can be communicated smoothly between them.
