  • Patent number: 6566796
Abstract: A method of making a steel sheet for a tension mask, including the steps of: hot rolling a steel consisting essentially of, by weight %, C: less than 0.1%, Si: 0.05% or less, Mn: 0.4 to 2%, P: 0.03% or less, S: 0.03% or less, sol.Al: 0.01% or less, N: 0.010% or more, and the balance of Fe; and annealing the cold rolled steel sheet, followed by a secondary cold rolling at a reduction rate of 35% or higher. The steel sheet produced by this method shows excellent creep resistance during blackening treatment and excellent magnetic shielding property with an anhysteretic permeability of 3400 or more at a DC bias magnetic field of 0.35 Oe, and therefore causes no color-deviation when applied to the tension mask.

  • Patent number: 6271624
Abstract: A color selecting electrode of a cathode ray tube is prevented from being twisted to thereby suppress an electron beam from a mislanding. A metal thin plate (6) having vertically striped opening portions (6a) is supported by frame members (7a), (7b) under a proper tension. The frame member (7a) welded to the metal thin plate (6) is joined with a supporting member (8) extended in the longitudinal direction and the frame member (7b) welded to the frame member (7a) is joined with a supporting member (9) extended in the direction (Z-axis direction) perpendicular to a plane formed of the frame members (7a, 7b). The supporting member (9) is fixed to substantially a central portion of the frame member (7b).

  • Patent number: 6188169
Abstract: This invention intends to provide an aperture grill supporting frame whereby forces exerted by damper wires on individual thin tapes constituting an aperture grill are uniform. This object is achieved by the following: the surfaces for welding of upper and lower frames of an aperture grill supporting frame are so processed from the beginning as to have sizes compensatory for deformations occurring as a result of pressurization and thus they will form a part of a columnar wall surface with a radius of R when they subject to deformations in the presence of a pressure. Thus, the surfaces for welding at both ends, for example, take a slightly bulged form as compared with a sector of a radius of R before they are subject to welding.

  • Patent number: 5614791
Abstract: A cathode ray tube apparatus can accurately, easily and automatically correct influences exerted on both of a beam landing drift and an image distortion drift by terrestrial magnetism applied to a cathode ray tube (CRT). A correction current based on an output of a terrestrial magnetism sensor (45) is supplied to a Z-axis correction coil (41) and an X--X axis correction coil (42). A terrestrial magnetism component (B.sub.H cos.theta.) of Z-axis direction is canceled by a correction magnetic flux generated by the Z-axis correction coil (41), and a terrestrial magnetism component (B.sub.H sin.theta.) of X-axis direction is canceled by the X--X axis correction coil (42), whereby a beam landing drift and a image distortion drift are corrected automatically.
