Abstract: Disclosed herein is a rear projection display apparatus, including: a housing; a screen provided on the front face of the housing; a mirror provided at a predetermined position in the inside of the housing and configured to reflect image light toward the screen; an optical unit including a projection lens configured to project the image light toward the mirror and an image apparatus configured to output the image light to the projection lens; a light source configured to supply a flux of light to the optical unit; and an optical device mounting plate having an upper face on which the optical unit is mounted and provided in a cantilever fashion on a wall provided on the inner side of a lower portion of the front face of the housing.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a rear projection display apparatus including, a screen, a projection mirror; a video apparatus for projecting a picture, an optical unit including a projection lens, a light source, a drive and control circuit, and a structure body for holding the screen, wherein the projection mirror is adjustably provided on the structure body fitted with the screen or on a structure body holding the screen.

The first screen fixture 74 positions the first screen 50 in the housing opening 30 and fixes an inner surface of the first screen 50 adhesively to the housing 20. The second screen fixture 76 is positioned between the first screen 50 and the first screen fixture 74, and fixes the second screens 54 and 56 between itself and the inside of the first screen 50.

A fixing plate having a predetermined height is provided at an inside of housing frames, and a hole is formed in the fixing plate and a fixing protrusion is provided in the rearside of the hole. Further, a second pressing member is adhered to the outside of the protrusion of the front surface of the fixing plate. The fixing member adhered to the first screen is inserted from another hole and the fixing protrusion is engaged with the fixing hole formed in the other end of the fixing member.
