  • Publication number: 20240053188
Abstract: An article identification system includes a weight sensor, a distance sensor, and an article identification device including an information processing device. The information processing device calculates, based on weight measurement data detected by the weight sensor, a first item picked up position of a plurality of picked up estimated items and a degree of accuracy indicating a degree of correctness of the estimation of the picked up estimated items. The information processing device obtains a second item picked up position based on the distance data of the person obtained by the distance sensor. The information processing device calculates a correction certainty by correcting the certainty of the estimated picked up items based on the first item picked up position and the second item picked up position, and identifies the picked up items based on the correction certainty.

  • Patent number: 11867810
Abstract: There is provided a distance measurement system in which a plurality of distance measurement sensors are installed to detect an object in a measurement area, the system including: a detection intensity distribution display device that performs quantification according to light intensities of light which reaches the object after being emitted from the distance measurement sensors, or point cloud numbers, and displays colors or lights and shades according to magnitudes of numerical values to perform visualization and a display. The detection intensity distribution display device regards a space in front of the distance measurement sensors as one cube, divides the cube into a plurality of small cubes (voxels), and quantifies a detection intensity according to the light intensity of the light that reaches each of the voxels after being emitted from the distance measurement sensors, or the point cloud number of each of the voxels.

  • Publication number: 20160232934
Abstract: An optical disk device records recording data transmitted from a host device onto an optical disk. Then, as a process for checking the recorded data, the optical disk device reproduces the data from the optical disk to perform a Verify process in a recording quality determination unit, while transmitting the reproduced data to the host device. The host device performs a Compare process to compare the reproduced data transmitted from the optical disk device with the recording data transmitted to the optical disk device. At least if it is determined to be poor quality as a result of the Verify process by the recording quality determination unit or if it is determined that the data do not match as a result of the Compare process by the host device, the corresponding data is alternately recorded in an alternate area of the optical disk.

  • Patent number: 9208035
Abstract: An optical information recording and reproducing apparatus and an optical information recording and reproducing method which make it possible to conduct alternation processing efficiently even if a buffer capacity is limited, in retry processing at time when a verify error is detected are provided. In an optical information recording and reproducing apparatus for recording data onto optical information recording media and reproducing data from the optical information recording media, verify processing is conducted in a predetermined recording quantity unit. Upon detection of a verify error in recorded data, a host computer is requested to retransfer data which has caused the verify error, and received data is intruded in a next scheduled recording quantity unit and recorded onto the optical information recording media.

  • Patent number: 8619524
Abstract: If a recording error has occurred during RAW, then subsequent recording reproducing processing is omitted in a predetermined range, and all blocks omitted in the processing are handled as defective blocks, DFL-registered, and recorded in a replacement area. As a result, it becomes possible to hold down the number of times of recording processing accompanied by seek processing in the RAW processing, and transfer rate lowering can be solved.

  • Patent number: 8611194
Abstract: The invention solves the problem that data cannot be recorded on a disc because the number of registered Defect Lists (DFLs) has reached a limit and the problem that the access performance is reduced at recording data reproduction time. A cluster, which is normally reproduced during verification processing and is preceded and followed by one or more defective blocks, is also treated as a defective block and, together with the preceding and following defective clusters, recorded in an spare area for extending the range in which clusters are registered as Contiguous Re-allocated Defect (CRD) entries. This reduces the number of DFLs to solve the problem that data cannot be recorded on the disc and, in addition, reduces the number of seek operations to prevent the access performance from being reduced at reproduction time.

  • Patent number: 8289822
Abstract: Where a hybrid disc has different types of media, the light spot moves among recording layers of the different media, after loading the disc into an optical disc apparatus, there is a problem that information on a media type of each recording layer should be recorded in DI etc. of the optical disc. Detailed information on the hybrid disc is stored in DI, by changing a disc layer type identifier or a disc structure in DI such as BCA or PIC on the optical disc.
