  • Patent number: 7373570
Abstract: A scan separator in a large scale integration device is made more extensive to suppress an increase in the circuit scale of the entire device. In one embodiment, a scan separator is provided for every two signal lines interconnecting two combinatorial circuit blocks. Each scan separator includes a selector and a flip flop for constituting a scan path. Another selector is provided for selecting one of the two signal lines. As an input selector signal for the selector that selects one of the two signal lines, data for switching controlling are used, which are transferred from a test input terminal over the scan path and latched by the flip flop. The data for switching controlling are initially transferred over the scan path to each flip flop. The selector that selects one of the two signal lines is switched in accordance with the switching controlling data stored in the flip flop. The switching controlling data may be interchanged to select the either of the two signal lines.

  • Publication number: 20070067652
Abstract: A system operating in a normal mode and a power-saving mode includes a memory and one or more master modules interconnected by a bus. A bus arbiter selectively grants use of the bus to the master modules, and activates an enable signal when no master module is using the bus. A power-down module receives the enable signal and responds by performing processing to take the system from the normal mode to the power-saving mode. The system can therefore save power effectively by switching promptly into the power-saving mode during even short intervals of bus inactivity.

  • Publication number: 20050223160
Abstract: A memory controller which can freely set parameters without a significant increase in circuit scale. Selection information and addition information applied from a CPU as a data signal are held in a register. The selection information is commonly applied to a plurality of selectors as a selection signal, while the addition information is commonly applied to a plurality of adders as an addition value VA. Each of the selectors selects one from a plurality of input data in accordance with the select signal. The addition value is added to data output from the respective selectors in adders associated therewith, and the state machine is applied with the values of the addition results as parameters, i.e., an address setup value, an assert pulse width, and a data off value, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5187620
Abstract: In a composite servo system or a servo system using only a sector servo system, when a head switching mode is set during a read/write operation, a CPU checks whether the cylinder of a target track of a subsequent head after switching is the same as that of a target track of a preceding head. If the target tracks are located on the same cylinder, the CPU compares offset value data of a data surface corresponding to the head before switching with that of the head after switching. If an error, as a comparison result, falls within a predtermined allowable range, a read/write operation by the head after switching is continuously executed. The CPU generates correction data used for positional correction processing for positioning the head at the center of the target position of a hard disk and temporarily stores the correction data in a data memory. The CPU executes positional correction processing on the basis of the correction data stored in the data memory.

  • Patent number: 4794469
Abstract: A recorded data reproducing apparatus according to this invention comprises a data pulse generation section, a peak detection section and a control section. The data pulse generation section reads out data written on the cylinder of a recording medium on which a magnetic head is currently positioned. According to received gain data, the data pulse generation section amplifies a signal corresponding to the readout data, and selectively generates data pulse sequence based on the amplified signal. When the amplified signal corresponds to servo data, the peak detection section detects the peak value of the amplified signal. The control section determines whether or not the magnitude of the detected peak value is nearly equal to a predetermined value. If the determination is negative, the control section refers to a gain data table to determine a change amount of the gain data, and supplies the gain data updated based on the change amount of the data pulse generation section.
