  • Publication number: 20140238866
Abstract: A silver-containing alloy electrolytic plating bath that can produce silver-containing alloy plated products having excellent resistance to oxidation suitable for electronic members, decoration members, and dental members, is described, along with a method for electrolytic plating using the same. The silver-containing alloy plated products have excellent resistance to oxidation and can be manufactured by using the plating bath that contains (a) a silver compound containing 99.9% to 46% by mass of silver on the basis of the total metal mass therein, (b) a gadolinium compound containing 0.1% to 54% by mass of gadolinium on the basis of the total metal mass therein, (c) at least one kind of complexing agent, and (d) a solvent.

  • Publication number: 20120208044
Abstract: Provided are a tin-containing alloy plating bath being capable of manufacturing a tin-containing alloy plated product suitable for electric and electronic members with excellent anti-oxidation performance, and an electroplating method using the bath. Specifically the bath is a plating bath to deposit a tin-containing alloy on the surface of a substrate, which plating bath contains: (a) a tin compound containing 99.9% by mass to 46% by mass of tin based on entire metal mass in the plating bath; (b) a gadolinium compound containing 0.1% by mass to 54% by mass of gadolinium based on entire metal mass in the plating bath; (c) at least one complexing agent; and (d) a solvent, and the electroplating method uses the tin-containing alloy bath, thus can manufacture a tin-containing alloy plated product having excellent anti-oxidation performance.

  • Publication number: 20090324812
Abstract: A fuel cell separator is provided with an opening that functions as a manifold. A resin coating is formed within the peripheral area of the fuel cell separator, in a state where the power generation area is masked with a masking jig. The resin coating is formed so that the separator substrate is exposed within at least a portion of the peripheral area. Subsequently, the masking jig is removed, and a conductive coating is formed within the power generation area of the fuel cell separator, the peripheral area of which has been masked by the resin coating. The conductive coating is formed by causing electricity to flow through the portion of the peripheral area where the separator substrate is exposed.

  • Patent number: 6592743
Abstract: A method for producing a separator integrated with a gas flow channel of fuel cells efficiently at low costs without deteriorating processing accuracy and the like. A plane-facing electrode nozzle 30 is placed oppositely to the face to be processed, which is partially covered with a mask M, of base material B of a separator. While feeding electricity to the electrode nozzle 30 and the base material B of a separator, an electrolytic solution is injected and fed from the side of the electrode nozzle 30 to the face to be processed of the base material B from a direction that is almost perpendicular to the face. Thereby, the unmasked portion undergoes electrolytic etching with the electrolytic solution lying between the face to be processed and the electrode nozzle 30 to form recessed portions for making a gas flow channel.
