  • Publication number: 20120297588
Abstract: In a male or female snap button including a base and a mounting opening, a cylindrical protrusion is provided around the mounting opening. When the male or female snap button is being mounted to a fabric, after a post of a button fastener has passed through the fabric and then the mounting opening, the post is swaged by an upper die. At this time, the protrusion of the male or female snap is crushed between the post and the base. Thereby, a part of a load as imposed on the male or female snap button can be absorbed by the deformation of the protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20120297586
Abstract: A female snap button detachably receives a projection of a male snap button in a projection-receiving space. The female snap button includes an annular protrusion rising from a base and defining the projection-receiving space. In the annular protrusion, there are formed thick-walled portions with the thickness from the inner surface of the protrusion to the radially outer side being relatively thick and thin-walled portions with the thickness being thinner than that in the thick-walled portions. The thick-walled portions and the thin-walled portions are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction.

  • Publication number: 20120266444
Abstract: An upper die with a button-mounting member includes a solid axial part with a flat tip, a bar-like pin member with a pointed tip, and a cylindrical punch surrounding the pin member. The button is set above the cloth and the button-mounting member is disposed below the cloth. The upper die is lowered until the button comes into contact with the upper side of the cloth and the tip of the axial part contacts the lower side of the cloth. The pin member is lowered until the tip hits against the tip of the axial part, resulting in a pilot bore through the cloth. The axial part passes through the cloth along the pilot bore and through the mounting opening. After that, the axial part is swaged by the pin member and the punch.

  • Patent number: 8294365
Abstract: A plasma display panel has a front substrate, a rear substrate, and a phosphor layer. The front substrate has a dielectric layer formed so as to cover a plurality of display electrodes disposed on a substrate, and a protective layer formed on the dielectric layer. The rear substrate is faced to the front substrate so as to form discharge space, has data electrodes in the direction intersecting with the display electrodes, and has barrier ribs for partitioning the discharge space. The phosphor layer is formed by applying phosphor ink that is made of a phosphor material and dispersant between the barrier ribs of the rear substrate. Nano-particles with a diameter of a range of 1 nm to 100 nm inclusive, or a solvent having an affinity for the dispersant of the phosphor ink is applied to the surfaces of the barrier ribs, and then the phosphor ink is applied to them, thereby forming the phosphor layer.

  • Publication number: 20120124791
Abstract: A snap button wherein when a male snap is removed from a female snap, a rotation between the snaps is limited, but is permitted normally. A male-side grooved surface is provided on a male snap radially outward from a projection of the snap with a plurality of grooves formed so that peaks and troughs of the grooves are arranged continuously in the circumferential direction. A female-side grooved surface similar to the male-side grooved surface is provided on a female snap radially outward from a projection-receiving space of the snap. The female-side grooved surface is inclined relative to the male-side grooved surface. When the male snap is removed from the female snap, each axis of the male snap and the female snap, which are yet in a coupled state, inclines relative to each other, causing the male-side grooved surface and the female-side grooved surface to partially engage with each other.

  • Publication number: 20120110803
Abstract: Provided is an eyelet in which a mounting strength to a material is equal to or higher than that in a two-piece type using a washer, and which can Solve a problem of an eyelet coming off of a mounting hole of the material due to material cutting or expansion and contraction of the material during swaging or in use. By holing the material between the tip of each of claws which have been cut and raised from a flange toward the material and the inner surface of a flange-backing portion, a mounting strength of the eyelet can be acquired without concentrating a material-pressing force at one place; the end of the flange-backing portion can be prevented from acting as a cutting edge to cut the material; and an additional position to hold the material is provided, which is different from the holding position by between the end of the flange-backing portion and the end of the flange.
