  • Patent number: 5799716
Abstract: An electric-powered shutter apparatus to be mounted to a building. A winding drum (4) of an electric-powered shutter device (1) is provided with a driving mechanism including an electric motor (7) and a single-directional rotary clutch device (8). A balance tension device (9) is provided at the other end of the apparatus. The clutch device (8) is configured to slip when the load of the rotation in the direction of the curtain being fed exceeds a certain load. Further, the load at which the clutch device (8) slips is set so as to be greater than the force for forcibly rotating the electric motor when disconnected from electric power. The balancing tension device (9) is balanced against the sum of the weight of the shutter curtain (2) and the load for forcibly rotating the electric motor (7). Thus, the need for a braking device for the electric-powered shutter apparatus to be mounted to a building is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5115601
Abstract: The present invention presents a movable sky light assembly used on a opening of a roof comprising a fixed frame, a wing frame with a lighting member supported on the fixed frame, said fixed frame being equipped with a driving device to operate said wing frame capable of opening and closing by connecting members for the frames. The fixed frame is provided with a detecting device for rainfall and the detecting device comprises a detecting sensor and its protecting means, and the sky light is constructed so as, when the wing frame is open, the detecting sensor of the detecting device is in the working posture and, when the wing frame is closed, the detecting sensor is protected by the protecting means. As the sky light is used also for ventilation, the connecting members of the frames are formed as a operating member of the wing frame and various aspects of the rain detecting device to close the wing frame in the rain is disclosed in relation to the operating member.

  • Patent number: 4498313
Abstract: A compact helium gas-refrigerating and liquefying apparatus with excellent properties and high reliability is provided. The apparatus comprises: a neon gas-refrigerating and liquefying circuit system which precools helium gas and comprises a turbo type compressor, heat exchangers, turbo type expansion machines and a Joule-Thomson valve; and a helium gas-refrigerating and liquefying circuit system which receives the precooled helium gas and comprises a turbo type compressor, heat exchangers, an expansion turbine and a Joule-Thomson valve; the former circuit system being constructed to associate with the latter circuit system so as to further cool the precooled helium gas in the latter circuit system by heat exchange therewith.
