Publication number: 20100278511Abstract: To smoothly reproduce data. A data generation section 103 generates an essence data file composed of a file header, a file body, and a file footer. A header size obtainment section 108 obtains header size information of essence data file from the data generation section 103, and supplies the header size information to a clip generation section 104 and an index file update section 105. The clip generation section 104 generates a clip information file that describes the header size information supplied from the header size obtainment section 108. The index file update section 105 registers a clip element that describes the header size information supplied from the header size obtainment section 108 to an index file stored in a ROM. The present invention can be applied to a video program creation support system.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 2004Publication date: November 4, 2010Inventors: Kenji Hyodo, Masaki Hirose, Hideaki Mita, Hiroshi Saitou, Tatsushi Bannai

Patent number: 7606466Abstract: Video data of a plurality of different formats is mixedly recorded onto one disc-shaped recording medium so that they can be continuously reproduced. A clip is constructed by video data, audio data, auxiliary AV data, and time-sequential meta data which are time-sequentially associated. The data is managed by a directory structure. The data constructing the clip is collectively stored into clip directories under a directory CLPR. When the format of, for example, the video data is changed during the recording, the clip is divided at the changing position, a clip directory is newly formed, and a new clip is formed. The mixture existence of the formats among the clip directories is permitted. The mixture existence of the formats in the file stored in the clip directory is not permitted.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2004Date of Patent: October 20, 2009Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Mitsutoshi Shinkai, Hideki Ando, Fumiaki Henmi, Takao Suzuki, Hisao Tanaka, Hirofumi Murakami, Kenji Hyodo

Publication number: 20090115758Abstract: The subject invention provides a drive circuit for a display apparatus, comprising: a shift register; and a pulse generation circuit for generating a drive pulse signal using an output pulse signal generated in the shift register, wherein: the pulse generation circuit forms a pulse-starting edge and a pulse-termination edge of the drive pulse signal using a rise or a fall of pulse resulting from activation of the output pulse signal. On this account, pulse generation can be performed with high accuracy in a pulse generation circuit used for a drive circuit for a display apparatus or the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2006Publication date: May 7, 2009Inventors: Makoto Yokoyama, Hajime Washio, Yuhichiroh Murakami, Hiroyuki Adachi, Kenji Hyodo

Publication number: 20070067468Abstract: Files are capable of being exchanged between a broadcast device and a personal computer. In a file of an AV multiplex format, a header (size and type information) of a skip atom of QT is described at the beginning (run-in) that is ignored in an MXF file. An MXF header is described in the skip atom that is skipped over in a QT file. A movie atom and a mdat header of QT are described in a filler that is ignored in the MXF file. In other words, a file header portion of the AV multiplex format satisfies both the structure of the MXF file and the structure of the QT file. With this file structure, a file of the AV multiplex format can be recognized by both an MXF standard basis edit device and a QT software installed PC. The present invention can be applied to a picture record device.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2004Publication date: March 22, 2007Inventors: Kenji Hyodo, Hideaki Mita

Publication number: 20050238329Abstract: It is possible to flexibly cope with a change in channel construction of audio data. Auxiliary AV data of a lower rate is formed in an auxiliary AV data converting unit 48 on the basis of video and audio data of a main line system. The audio data of the main line system in which the number of channels is equal to 0 and 4 or 8 channels can exist mixedly. In the auxiliary AV data, the number of channels of the audio data is fixed to 8 channels. Audio data showing silence is outputted to the channels which do not correspond to the channels of the audio data of the main line system of the auxiliary AV data. Since the number of channels of the audio data of the auxiliary AV data is fixed irrespective of the number of channels of the audio data of the main line system, the editing or searching operation using the auxiliary AV data can be executed without paying attention to a change in the number of channels of the audio data of the main line system, or the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2004Publication date: October 27, 2005Inventor: Kenji Hyodo

Publication number: 20050025460Abstract: A file body of an MXF file having an AV multiplex format comprises one or more essence containers each having a size equal to the length of an annual ring. These essence containers are each managed as a movie data atom in the structure of a QT file. That is to say, since each essence container included in the file body of an MXF file is generated for each predetermined annual-ring length, the movie data atom included in the QT file as an atom corresponding to the essence container can also be composed of AV data having an amount equivalent to the length of an annual ring and the size of the movie data atom can be described in an mdat header of the atom. Thus, a file can be transmitted to another apparatus in an on-the-fly manner while imaging an object. To be more specific, a file can be transmitted between a broadcasting apparatus and a personal computer in a real-time manner. The present invention can be applied to a video-recording apparatus.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2004Publication date: February 3, 2005Inventors: Kenji Hyodo, Tatsuji Yamazaki

Publication number: 20050008329Abstract: Main AV data having a high resolution and sub AV data are recorded on a disc. The sub AV data has been compression-encoded in accordance with the main AV data at a higher compression rate than the main AV data. When it has been determined that since a buffer underflow takes place in a seek from a designated OUT point to a designated IN point of the sub AV data and it cannot be reproduced in real time in accordance with an edit result of AV data recorded on the disc, a bridge clip is created so that the seek time becomes short. At that point, a reproduction range of the main AV data corresponding to the sub AV data is compression-encoded in accordance with a compression-encoding system of the sub AV data. As a result, a bridge clip for sub AV data is created.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2004Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Takao Suzuki, Kenji Hyodo
