    Abstract: Provided is a battery lease system which can rationalize the burden of a user when using a battery and encourage the user to purchase an electric vehicle or the like effectively. The battery lease system accepts input of estimation basic information, estimates an estimated degradation state at the expiration of a scheduled lease term, determines a first lease fee of the battery, accepts input of information indicating that a first lease is started, and stores the information in a storage unit. Then, the battery lease system acquires battery information required to determine a degradation state of the battery returned after the expiration of the first lease of the battery, determines a degradation state of the returned battery, and redetermines a first lease fee based on the estimated degradation state and the degradation state of the returned battery.

    Abstract: A radio receiver having a theft prevention system using an anti-theft code, wherein a region code, corresponding to various regions in the world, is inputted by a user to set the receiver to the proper receiving standards of the selected region, and wherein an anti-theft code is inputted by the user. If the anti-theft code inputted by the user corresponds with a previously stored anti-theft code, the receiving standards are set within the receiver and the receiver is enabled.
