  • Patent number: 6706843
Abstract: For separation and recovery of dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethyiene glycol (EG) from polyester waste containing foreign materials, the polyester waste is treated in EG containing a polyester depolymerization catalyst, a solid foreign material fraction floated on the surface of the resultant reaction solution is removed and the residual solid foreign material fraction is removed from the remaining solution fraction. The remaining solution fraction is distilled and concentrated and the distilled EG is recovered. A transesterification reaction catalyst and methanol are mixed into the distillation residue. The resultant reaction mixture is recrystallized and subjected to centrifugal separation to separate the reaction mixture into the DMT cake and a mixture solution, and then the cake is distilled whereby high-purity DMT is recovered. The residual mixture solution is subjected to distillation treatment for recovery of the methanol, and the distillation residue is distilled to recover EG.

  • Publication number: 20040020348
Abstract: There is provided a musical composition data editing apparatus which enables the generation of musical composition data using which a user can cause his/her own musical image to be reflected to a high degree in a musical composition performance through simple operations, whereby a wide variety of users from beginners having no knowledge of musical composition data such as MIDI data to experts who want to arrange musical compositions in their own manner can be satisfied. A standard musical composition data generating section 230 of a contents server CS refers to musical composition reproduction control codes for controlling reproduction of a musical composition contained in source musical composition data, to determine whether or not a musical image in the musical composition reproduction changes.

  • Publication number: 20040011189
Abstract: There is provided a music reproduction system which enables music editing and acoustic effect application by simple operations, for realizing a desired musical concept in an operator's mind. An operating terminal that can be carried by an operator generates motion information in response to motion of the operator carrying the operating terminal unit. Music data of a piece of music to be reproduced is edited based on the generated motion information. The motion information includes peak information indicative of magnitude of the motion. When a peak value indicated by the peak information exceeds predetermined first and second threshold values, music reproduction control information is generated based on the peak information, and when the peak value indicated by the peak information is larger than the first threshold value and smaller than the second threshold value, acoustic effect control information is generated based on the peak information.

  • Publication number: 20030230186
Abstract: In a music system, an input unit is manipulated for inputting a signal representative of a performance operation amount rendered by a performer, and an output unit is provided for outputting a music sound in response to the signal fed from the input unit. The input unit has a grip part that is grasped by the performer and shaped to receive a dynamic pressure caused from grasping by the performer for inputting the performance operation amount. A conversion part is provided in the input unit for converting the dynamic pressure applied by the performer into a force acting in a specified direction. A detection part is positioned to align a sensitivity thereof with the specified direction for sensing the force generated by the conversion part and outputting the signal indicative of the performance operation amount in response to the sensed force.

  • Patent number: 6336639
Abstract: A metal gasket is disclosed which is used arranged between a cylinder block and a cylinder head. The metal gasket comprises carrier plates having thereon beads, and a stopper plate overlaid on the carrier plates and provided with folded constructions, which are each composed of a folded flange area and its counterpart area confronting each other so as to provide a gap of a preselected interval between them. The gaps exert elasticity on the folded flange areas continuously whenever the gasket is squeezed and loaded due to engine operation whereby the folded constructions may compensate for intolerable clearance that might occur owing to the distortion in fatigue of the cylinder block with respect to the gasket, with resulting in improving sealing performance of the gasket.

  • Patent number: 6266364
Abstract: A shift register 22 is normally generating recurrence spreading codes and, when actual state data of the shift register 22 and the state data stored in the reset data register, initial data stored in the initial data register 24 beforehand is fed to the shift register 22. As a result, the shift register 22 is initialized and generates recurrence spreading codes. No counter need determine the timing of restoration of the shift register 22 to the initial state, and thus no spreading code phase deviation due to any count deviation occurs. Thus, preventing phase deviation of spreading codes utilized for spread and despread of communication data.

  • Patent number: 6164662
Abstract: An engine gasket flattens the surface pressure occurring around holes, prevents the occurrence of impressions in and damage to a cylinder block and a cylinder head, and secures a stable sealing performance. This metal gasket has elastic metal plates and an intermediate metal plate interposed between these elastic metal plates. The elastic metal plates are provided with full beads along the circumferences of the holes so that the ridge portions of the full beads contact the intermediate metal plate. The intermediate plate has, on regions which are between the holes and full beads of the elastic metal plates, half beads extending toward the elastic metal plates. The elastic metal plates are folded back along the circumferences of the holes.

  • Patent number: 6135459
Abstract: In this metal gasket, the stopper plate stacked on the bead base plates has its reduced thickness portionwhose thickness is smaller than the thickness of the stopper plate body-folded back to form a stopper portion. This structure provides the stopper portion with a limited stopper function with fewer parts. Between a pair of bead base plates that seal around the bore holes of the metal gasket is clamped an intermediate plate as the stopper plate. Around the bore holes in the intermediate plate are arranged folded portions, whose total thickness is larger than the thickness of the stopper plate body, to restrict the deformation of the beads. The folded portions are formed by folding back fold parts onto base parts that are thinner than the stopper plate body. This structure can limit the step height (stopper height) of the intermediate plate without using other parts such as metal plates or stopper pieces.
