    Abstract: In each of the trial stitchings for stitching a buttonhole by a computerized sewing machine, an increasing or decreasing amount by which a buttonhole size is to be corrected, is processed through an external input device, and in dependence upon corrected results a subsequent trial stitching is performed, whereby proper buttonhole sizes may be easily obtained.
