    Abstract: There is provided a sewing machine needle 10 including: a shank portion 11 that is attached to a sewing machine; and a shaft portion 12 that is provided on a front end side of the shank portion 11; wherein: a needle eye 13 is formed to penetrate the shaft portion 12, and a long groove 14 for guiding a thread from a position of the needle eye 13 toward the shank portion 11 is formed in the shaft portion 12; and a suppression portion 16 for suppressing movement of a needle thread 21 is provided in an intermediate portion of the long groove 14. Thus, it is possible to provide a sewing machine needle by which a loop can be formed stably and that causes few damage to a needle thread and can be also manufactured easily.

The first boundary is a boundary between the original lane and the destination lane, and the second boundary is a boundary that defines the original lane and is located on a side opposite to the first boundary. When it is detected that the own vehicle is scheduled to perform a lane change and it is determined that the passable space is present, the operation control unit causes the own vehicle to perform a lateral movement operation before the lane change is performed. The lateral movement operation causes the own vehicle to approach the destination lane.

A tubular body is fitted with outer peripheries of the annular mounting parts, and then, the element is abuttingly disposed on an upper end of the dummy. Subsequently, the dummy is moved vertically downward to fit the through holes of the annular mounting parts with the element, thereby obtaining a workpiece. The workpiece is vertically inverted, and with the element tip being in contact with a sealing assist jig that has a buffer performance, the upper end of the uppermost annular mounting part is pressed vertically downward to compress the powder compact, thereby sealing an inside of the tubular body.
