    Abstract: A vacuum forming apparatus is provided that forms an article having a covering bonded to the surface of a substrate in a molding space using a first mold and a second mold. The vacuum forming apparatus is provided with clamps for grasping the covering between the first and second molds arranged at the open positions. The clamps are movable between an interfering position, at which the clamps are located in the movement ranges of the first and second molds, and standby positions, at which the clamps are outside the movement ranges. After the covering is heated, the clamps grasping the covering move to the standby positions and stretch the covering. The first and second molds move to the closed positions and the article is molded between the first and second molds so that the stretched covering and the substrate are bonded to each other.

    Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a smart key carried by a user and operated by an embedded battery and a verification ECU mounted in a vehicle. A wireless communication is made between the smart key and the verification ECU. The smart key performs periodically a switchover of a detection sensitivity for detecting a transmission electric wave transmitted from the verification ECU between a normal sensitivity and a high sensitivity. The high sensitivity has a detection area of the transmission electric wave greater than a detection area of the normal sensitivity. The constant use of the high sensitivity is unnecessary to detect the transmission electric wave. This enables a reduction of the consumed electric current of the battery for detecting the transmission electric wave with the high sensitivity.

    Abstract: An aluminum alloy material is welded by performing friction stir welding to form a welded section in an aluminum alloy welded component. The aluminum alloy material contains Mg: 0.3-6.0% (mass %, hereinafter the same), Cu: 0.2% or less, Si: 0.1% or less, Fe: 0.1% or less, the balance being Al and inevitable impurities. Second phase particles dispersed in the aluminum alloy material have a grain size of 5 ?m or less as observed with an optical microscopic. Because the second phase particles are homogeneously dispersed in a welded section equivalent portion of the aluminum alloy welded component as compared to other portions, variations in pit formation caused by etching during anodizing are reduced, thereby eliminating color tone variations in the anodized coating formed on the aluminum alloy welded component.
