  • Patent number: 5657433
Abstract: An information processing system includes a device for recording data, a device for generating browsing data, a device for storing the browsing data and data in association with each other, and a device for displaying the browsing data. Corresponding data are retrieved from the displayed browsing data. When the data is non-visible such as audio data, a still image input unit or a video input device is used to create browsing data. Also, upon creation, updating or deletion of data, the browsing data are automatically created, updated or deleted respectively. When the data is AV data, browsing data is created based on the information detected by a scene change point detector and a volume detector.

  • Patent number: 5654832
Abstract: An illumination optical system for microscopes is constructed so that in a transmissive Kohler illumination optical system having a light source, a condenser lens system, and an aperture stop, the condenser lens system includes, in order from the side of incidence of light, a first lens unit having a positive lens and a negative lens, with a positive power as a whole, and a second lens unit having a negative lens and a positive lens, with a positive power as a whole. The aperture stop is placed between the first and second lens units, and the illumination optical system satisfies the condition:R.sub.1 /R.sub.2 >0where R.sub.1 is the radius of curvature of the foremost surface of the second lens unit and R.sub.2 is the radius of curvature of the rearmost surface of the second lens unit.

  • Patent number: 5368382
Abstract: There is provided in a pressure feed pipe for feeding cement paste under pressure a wall panel assembly formed of a plurality of wall panels having collision surfaces and through holes and arranged at predetermined intervals. High-strength or superhigh-strength mortar or concrete is produced by kneading a designed amount of binder material comprising cement or cement and a pozzolan material together with a predetermined amount of water, passing this cement paste through the abovementioned pressure feed pipe to crush the cement balls contained in the cement paste and thus to homogenize the paste, and kneading the thus homogenized cement paste together with fine aggregate or fine and coarse aggregates.

  • Patent number: 4947146
Abstract: An electromagnetic contactor is formed by disposing an inner yoke to oppose at an end to a pole-contacting member provided at an end of an armature in an electromagnet block, disposing the outer yoke to oppose at an end to the said end of the inner yoke so as to restrict the displacement of the pole-contacting member and at the other end to a plunger part of the armature perpendicularly and closely thereto, and inserting a magnetic cylinder into an axial through hole of a coil bobbin of the electromagnet block for passing therethrough the plunger part from the side of the said other end of the outer yoke, whereby any leak of magnetic flux due to coil excitation and that of a permanent magnet disposed between the both yokes can be restrained to be the minimum and a highly efficient operation of the contactor can be realized.

  • Patent number: 4818511
Abstract: A process for producing non-oxide compounds such as silicon nitride and silicon carbide by using a multi-stage apparatus constructed of a raw material drier section, a reactor section including a multiplicity of reaction vessels, and a non-oxidizing gas feeder section, is disclosed. The sections are arranged serially in the vertical direction. Raw materials are reacted with one another while fluidizing or bubbling by a hot non-oxidizing gas (argon or nitrogen) occurs in the raw material drier section and reaction vessels.

  • Patent number: 4146348
Abstract: A method for constructing continuous concrete walls free from water leakage under the ground, wherein upon hardening of the concrete of a preceding wall panel the space for the next succeeding wall panel is excavated and while placing a reinforcing steel cage in the space for the next succeeding wall panel, at least one injection pipe is inserted along with the steel cage; placing of concrete in this section Portland cement suspension is jetted at a high pressure from a nozzle of the injection pipe, which is pulled up as it is rotated, whereby clay or slime of bentonite or the like between the end faces of adjacent concrete walls is removed by the fracturing and agitating effect of the jet.
