  • Patent number: 5805407
Abstract: Charge eliminating apparatus for a moving web comprising two voltage applicators with discharge electrodes arranged at uniform intervals is disclosed. The voltage applicators are provided against the web supported by a backing roller or two backing rollers. The distance between each voltage applicators is settled to be small, and the discharge electrodes are connected to high voltage power sources. By applying D.C. voltage to the web, electrostatic charges on the web are efficiently eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5295263
Abstract: A programmable controller having a loading feature for changing such control information as control programs. The controller comprises a load execution unit and an allocation unit. The load execution unit checks, upon receipt of new control information, the execution state of the program to be changed based on management information stored in a management table. The load execution unit loads the new control information into an area indicated by addresses held in a management table if the program is in non-executing or non-executable state. The load execution unit loads the new control information into a reserved area indicated by addresses held in a reserved table if the program is in executing or executable state. The allocation unit replaces the content of the addresses held in the management table with the content of the addresses held in the reserved table after the load execution unit has loaded the new control information into the reserved area.

  • Patent number: 4800839
Abstract: A device applicable to an electrophotographic color copier or a color ink jet printer for selectively supplying visualizing liquids of different colors, e.g. black, red, green and blue or a mixture thereof to a photoconductive drum, paper or like recording medium to form a visible image on the medium which corresponds to an image of an original document. The device includes a black liquid vessel, a red liquid vessel, a blue liquid vessel, and a cleaning liquid vessel. The liquids from the various vessels are selectively fed to the device and, after a visualizing operation or a cleaning operation, selectively returned to the respective vessels by two switching units. Residual toner particles are returned to the black liquid vessel. A purifying member for capturing toner or like visualizing agent which is contained in the black liquid is situated between an overflow port of the black liquid vessel and the other liquid vessels and cleaning liquid vessel.

  • Patent number: 4550338
Abstract: A detecting circuit comprises a synchronous detecting circuit (11, 12, 15 to 19, 22 and 27 to 29) and a switching transistor (35). The collector and the emitter of the transistor (35) are connected to junctions (A) and (B), respectively, of the synchronous detecting circuit. The input portion (11) of the synchronous detecting circuit is connected to receive a signal to be detected and the input portion (12) of the same is connected to receive a carrier wave. The base of the transistor (35) is connected to receive a switching signal. The synchronous detecting circuit performs a detecting operation when the switching signal assumes the low level; however, the transistor (35) is turned on when the switching signal assumes the high level so that the junctions (A) and (B) are short-circuited, whereby the synchronous detecting circuit does not perform a detecting operation. Accordingly, the detecting circuit can be switched with a simple circuit configuration.
