  • Publication number: 20100157885
Abstract: There is provided a radio communication system in which a mobile station which has decided to switch a base station can immediately be synchronized with the base station to which switching is to be made. Each of the base stations creates a synchronization signal for the mobile station to synchronize with the base station from an upstream pilot signal received from the mobile station, creates upstream propagation quality information from the upstream pilot signal, and creates a downstream control signal including the synchronization information and the upstream propagation quality information, and transmits them.

  • Publication number: 20090279420
Abstract: A base station apparatus (100) has an FFT unit (102) which FFT transforms a base station GI deleted signal (SBGID) obtained by removing a guard interval from a received signal and outputs a base station FFT signal (SBFFT). A mobile station separating unit (103) separates the base station FFT signal (SBFFT) in correspondence with mobile stations, based on a frequency channel signal (SBCH) provided by a frequency channel signal generator (105) and indicating a correspondence relationship between identification numbers assigned to mobile stations and frequency channels. Delay profile estimation circuits (104-1) to (104-M) corresponding to the mobile stations each estimate a delay profile from the input mobile station separated signal (SBDMX) and output delay profile estimation signals (SBDP(1)) to (SBDP (M)). The base station apparatus (100) thus estimates delay profiles independently for signals transmitted by a plurality of mobile stations and contained in the received signals received in one OFDM symbol time.

  • Publication number: 20090257398
Abstract: A radio communication system includes a plurality of base stations with supporting a plurality of radio access schemes. Two or more base stations support a predetermined radio access scheme in common. A mobile station makes initial connection to one of the two or more base stations according to the predetermined radio access scheme, to allow communication with the one base station.

  • Publication number: 20090239570
Abstract: In a wireless communication system including a plurality of base stations each supporting at least one of two or more radio access schemes and at least one mobile station capable of performing communication by using the two or more radio access schemes, before the mobile station moves from a source base station to a target base station, the target base station notifies the mobile station, via the source base station, of a transparent container containing uplink radio access information that specifies a radio access scheme enabling at least an initial connection to be made. Thus, the mobile station identifies the radio access scheme supported by the target base station from the transparent container before moving from the source base station to the target base station.

  • Patent number: 7586988
Abstract: This invention provides a transmitting apparatus including a plurality of signal generation units, a multiplexing unit which receives a plurality of signals output from the plurality of signal generation units and outputs, as a transmission signal, a signal obtained by time-divisionally multiplexing the plurality of signals, and a correction signal generation unit which outputs a correction signal generated on the basis of the transmission signal output from the multiplexing unit to all or some of the plurality of signal generation units, wherein upon receiving the correction signal, the plurality of signal generation units correct the shift of input timing of the plurality of signals to the multiplexing unit on the basis of the correction signal.

  • Publication number: 20090122886
Abstract: At a transmitting side (1), data sequence generating part (11) encodes transport information, and pilot sequence generating part (12) maps a pilot sequence that has a small ratio of peak to average power designated in advance. Data/pilot time multiplexing part (13) time-multiplexes this generated data sequence and pilot sequence for transmission.

  • Patent number: 7529553
Abstract: A base station receives a pilot signal and position information on each of a plurality of mobile stations from the each mobile station. An uplink pilot signal separating unit separates the pilot signal of the each mobile station. A received uplink signal quality calculating unit calculates received signal information on the each mobile station based on the pilot signal of the each mobile station. A position information extracting unit extracts the position information on the each mobile station. A propagation information generating unit generates map information representing the received signal quality at every location by making the position information on the each mobile station correspond to the received signal quality information on the each mobile station. The base station transmits the map information to the each mobile station, and the each mobile station displays the map information.

  • Publication number: 20090080454
Abstract: A signal generating apparatus, which is adapted for outputting a multicarrier signal where data are multiplexed with respect to a plurality of subcarriers, includes: a rotation sequence selection signal generator for generating a plurality of rotation sequence selection signal sequences which vary the phase relationship between subcarriers on the basis of a plurality of phase rotation sequences and include the number of samples, which are smaller than that of actual transmission signals; and a minimum peak power signal generator for selecting a signal of which peak power becomes minimum from the plurality of rotation sequence selection signals to generate an actual transmission signal by using a phase rotation sequence multiplied with respect to the selected signal.

  • Publication number: 20080310341
Abstract: In the present invention, a wireless transmission system includes a plurality of mobile stations in a cell area, and a base station. The base station divides each of an uplink frame and a downlink frame into a plurality of blocks, assigns a specific one of the plurality of blocks to each of the plurality of the mobile stations, assigns a specific frequency channel to the mobile station, and notifies the specific block and the specific frequency channel to the mobile station. The length of each of the plurality of blocks is optional, and a sum of the lengths of the plurality of blocks is equal to the length of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20060285599
Abstract: Channel estimation values of pilot symbols for channel compensation of data symbols in an OFDM receiver can be used, even in cases where FFT extract position differs for each frame. The OFDM receiver is characterized in having a circuit which calculates the amount of phase rotation that is generated by the difference in timing at which the individual symbols are extract as objects of a fast Fourier transform when the fast Fourier transform processing is performed by a fast Fourier transform circuit, and further a circuit which corrects the amount of phase rotation for the channel estimation value determined by a channel estimating circuit.
