  • Patent number: 10973728
Abstract: A walking support robot is presented by the present disclosure. The walking support robot moves in accordance with a handle load while guiding a user to walk along a walking route. The walking support robot includes a body, a handle on the body, a sensor that senses a load applied to the handle, and a moving device that moves the walking support robot by controlling rotation of a rotating member in accordance with the load. Guide information is generated for guiding the user to walk along the walking route. Presented information is presented for guiding the user based on the guide information. A physical task is set by adjusting complexity of the walking route. A degree to which the user follows the walking route is calculated, and the physical task is adjusted based on the degree.

  • Patent number: 10271783
Abstract: A stimulus presenting system according to the present disclosure includes a biological information acquirer that acquires biological information on a user; a mental state estimator that estimates a mental state of the user on the basis of the biological information; a target state setter that sets a target mental state after the mental state estimator estimates that the mental state is a first mental state; a scenario creator that creates a scenario including at least one stimulus presenting content possibly influencing the mental state on the basis of the set target mental state; a content presenter that presents the stimulus presenting content on the basis of the created scenario; and a mental state determiner that determines whether a second mental state estimated by the mental state estimator on the basis of biological information acquired after the presentation of the stimulus presenting content is started attains the set target mental state.

  • Patent number: 8130119
Abstract: A traffic signal control apparatus acquires position information and travel condition information from vehicles around a construction section of a road in wireless communication, and determines a traffic congestion condition at the positions of those vehicles based on the acquired information. The traffic signal control apparatus then controls traffic signals set up on ends of the construction section in a manner that eases the traffic congestion condition around the construction section based on the determination result of the traffic congestion condition.

  • Publication number: 20110095905
Abstract: An assigning unit assigns multiple conditions to communication units. A detection unit detects which of the communication units is communicable with an external resource center. When the detection unit detects that multiple communication units are communicable with the external resource center, a selecting unit selects one communication unit according to the multiple conditions assigned by the assigning unit. Thus, an in-vehicle data communication unit obtains data from the external resource center via the selected one communication unit.

  • Patent number: 7777616
Abstract: In an intersection information provision system, multiple cameras are installed oriented towards the direction where each road extends from the intersection. Each camera captures as an image or video the state ranging from the intersection to each road. Therefore, the area of the captured image by each camera is narrowed down. When this captured image is displayed in a display unit of a navigation apparatus in a vehicle, the driver of the vehicle can perform safety check easily. Furthermore, according to the traveling direction of the vehicle at the intersection, a display pattern of several captured images to be displayed is determined. According to the determined display pattern, multiple captured images are displayed in order. Therefore, image information required to pass through the intersection safely can be offered without shortage to the driver of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20030170602
Abstract: The present invention provides an experience transfer system whereby human experience can be mutually shared. A cooperative media 1a acquires and stores the experience information of a first user by interacting with the first user autonomously and cooperatively, and a cooperative media 2b has a second user have the vicarious experience of the experience of the first user using the experience information of the first user read from the cooperative media 1a via the network 3.

  • Patent number: 6300983
Abstract: In an electronic kaleidoscopic apparatus, a kaleidoscopic image forming unit extracts an initial image fragment of a specified region on the basis of image information picked up by a video camera. In response to the shape of the initial image fragment, the kaleidoscopic image forming unit regards the initial image fragment as an original image and repeatedly inverts/duplicates an image signal in this shape for every obtained reflection pattern, thereby forming a kaleidoscopic image and outputting the same to a display unit.
