  • Publication number: 20040174046
Abstract: A floor panel structure of a vehicle body where a vehicle floor has floor panels with their peripheral edges linked to a plurality of frame members that are disposed in a vehicle body lengthwise direction and a vehicle body crosswise direction and linked to an engine or a suspension is disclosed. The floor panel has a joint where at least part of its peripheral edge is joined to the frame member, a groove formed along the entire length of the joint and a high-rigidity area formed within the low-rigidity area. The low-rigidity area forms a vibration blocking area along the entire length of the joint by using a difference in rigidity from the high-rigidity area.

  • Patent number: 4426646
Abstract: A self shift type gas discharge panel in which the display screen comprises a plurality of shift lines arranged in parallel in the vertical direction, and a system and method for driving the panel. The display screen is divided into several sections both in the horizontal and vertical directions to form a plurality of display areas, and the shift operation can be performed independently in each of these display areas. While the forward shift operation is conducted in a single selected display area, a reciprocating or sway shift operation, or a stationary display, obtain selectively in the remaining display areas with such a configuration, so that an editing operation can be realized which is similar to that realized by the existing well known matrix display gas discharge panel. As a result, the display function can be much improved.

  • Patent number: 4138626
Abstract: A first glass substrate supports a plurality of electrodes arranged in concentric circles. A second glass substrate supports a plurality of shift electrodes arranged radially. The substrates are positioned face to face with a specified space between them filled with an ionizable gas. The radially arranged shift electrodes are periodically connected to common buses each connected to a corresponding one of a plurality of shift driver circuits equal in number to the buses. At least one of the shift electrodes is selectively connected to a write driver circuit and to one of the shift driver circuits. When the one of the shift electrodes is energized by a signal from the write driver circuit, discharge spots are generated at the intersection of the one of the shift electrodes and the concentrically arranged electrodes.

  • Patent number: 4132924
Abstract: Methods and systems for driving a self-shift type of gas discharge panel utilize a plurality of basic pulse trains for the shifting of discharge spots. The pulse trains are applied cyclically and sequentially to each phase of a multi-phase display cell array, each cycle comprising several unit periods, and the array having regularity in its arrangement. This facilitates control of timing for phase switching, and accurate shift operation can be realized by variation of the basic pulse trains.

  • Patent number: 4109181
Abstract: An improved driving system and method for shifting a discharge spot from a given discharge cell to an adjacent discharge cell in an A.C. gas discharge, or plasma display, panel, having opposed sets of electrodes respectively covered with corresponding dielectric layers thereby insulated from the discharge gas space. One set of electrodes comprises common electrodes extending in parallel relationship and defining the direction of propagation of the shifted discharge spots. The other set of electrodes, spaced apart from the first set by the gas space, extends in parallel relation transversely to the first common electrodes, and comprise the shift electrodes. The shift electrodes are arranged in groups of a predetermined number in each group and a corresponding number of buses permits selective application of shift pulses to the respectively associated shift electrodes in sequence for each group and simultaneously for the successive groups.

  • Patent number: 3939454
Abstract: A system for reading out information in a plasma display memory panel having a set of X and a set of Y electrodes is disclosed in which a forward current is conducted through unidirectional conducting devices having a charge storage effect, for example, charge storage diodes, connected to the X or Y electrodes; a read voltage is applied to one of a selected one of the Y sets of and X electrodes; a charging current due to the read voltage is conducted through the charge storage diodes in a backward direction making use of their backward recovery time; a gas discharge current, after the charging current terminates, flows in the stray capacitance of the selected X or Y electrode, raising its potential relative to the ground potential; and the potential rise is detected to thereby effect read-out of the information.
