  • Patent number: 8478518
Abstract: A navigation device mounted in a vehicle determines a traffic condition when the vehicle travels in a road zone along a facility, and determines whether a payment terminal mounted in the vehicle has made a payment through communication with a facility terminal installed in the facility. If it is determined that a payment has been made through communication, then probe data is generated that associates the traffic condition in the road zone with a payment service of the facility.

  • Patent number: 8433504
Abstract: A traffic information generation method for generating traffic information for each link includes a vehicle speed detection step of detecting a vehicle speed at predetermined distance intervals or at predetermined time intervals using a vehicle speed sensor; and a traffic jam degree detection step of referring to a specified speed and a specified distance prescribed in association with a traffic jam degree representing a level of a traffic jam and a connection determination distance prescribed in accordance with a road type to detect the traffic jam degree corresponding to the vehicle speed. When a link length falls within a predetermined range, information on the traffic jam degree corresponding to a fastest vehicle speed within a prescribed starting point distance from a beginning of the link is allocated to the link.

  • Patent number: 8396702
Abstract: An analyzing apparatus includes a result-data storing unit that determines whether result data that is calculated as a result of analysis is restorable by linear interpolation. If the result data is determined to be unrestorable by the linear interpolation, the result-data storing unit stores the result data in a predetermined storage unit. Moreover, the analyzing apparatus includes a data restoring unit that reads the result data from the storage unit. The data restoring unit performs the linear interpolation using the result data acquired, thereby restoring the result data.

  • Patent number: 8227710
Abstract: Provided is a wiring structure and the like which can completely connect a wiring layer to a body to be wired while keeping insulation between two adjacent wiring layers and realize high density packaging due to a narrowed pitch. In a semiconductor-embedded substrate, a conductive pattern is formed on both sides of a core substrate and a semiconductor device is placed in a resin layer stacked over the core substrate. The resin layer has via-holes so that the conductive pattern and a bump of the semiconductor device protrude from the resin layer. Inside the via-holes, the bump and conductive pattern are respectively connected to via-hole electrode portions whose cross-sectional area has been increased toward the bottom of the via-hole. A void is defined between the via-hole electrode portion and upper portion of the inner wall of the via-hole.

  • Patent number: 8209114
Abstract: A CPU specifies factors related to the month, the day of the week, and a time period including the current point in time, based on time data obtained by a timer. The CPU also specifies factors that are related to a grid ID and a road category of a given link, based on map display data, link data, and the like stored in an update map information database. The CPU then reads a sample collection number indicating the number of samples of probe information required to generate traffic information for that link and in sequence for other links. When a center traffic information DB contains stored therein, samples of probe information equal to or greater than the sample collection number for a link, the CPU generates the traffic information for that link and stores the generated traffic information as current traffic information.
