Abstract: A pants-type disposable diaper has an outer covering sheet formed of a nonwoven fabric. An absorbent body is attached on the outer covering sheet to absorb excrement from the wearer. Sheet members are bonded, (also called “end sheets” or “end holding sheets”) on the front and back, each end portion of the absorbent body being positioned and fixed between the sheet member and the outer covering sheet. The sheet member may be a laminated sheet of plastic film and nonwoven fabric, stretching of the sheet member is suppressed and it is possible to easily bring the absorbent body in close contact with the crotch region of the wearer when putting the disposable diaper on the wearer. The sheet member may also be formed of nonwoven fabric, a fiber orientation of nonwoven fabric on the sheet member then being orthogonal to the edges of end portions of the outer covering sheet in the longitudinal direction, to suppress longitudinal stretching of the sheet member.

Abstract: A disposable diaper has an absorbent body, an outer covering sheet and two end holding sheets, and both end portions of the absorbent body are fixed between the end holding sheets and the outer covering sheet. Since a turndown portion of an upper end portion of the end holding sheet is bonded on an upper end portion of a first covering sheet, a waist covering portion has structure where the first covering sheet is laminated on the two-layered end holding sheet. Therefore, a thickness of the outer covering sheet can be reduced, while maintaining strength of the waist covering portion by appropriately selecting material of the end holding sheet, thereby to easily improve softness of the disposable diaper. Since an upper end of a second covering sheet is positioned below the turndown portion, softness and breathability in an area between the turndown portion and the second covering sheet is increased.

Abstract: An outer covering sheet (4) of a pants-type disposable diaper (1) has a front part and a back part (403) to be positioned on a front side and a back side of a wearer, and a middle part lying between the both. An absorbent body (20) is attached on the outer covering sheet (4), to absorb excrement from the wearer. In the absorbent body (20), both end portions positioned in the front part and the back part (403) are folded toward the inner surface (40) of the outer covering sheet (4) to be bonded on the inner surface (40). It is therefore possible to prevent skin of the wearer from being irritated by edges (241) of the both end portions of the absorbent body (20) when the disposable diaper (1) is worn.

Abstract: Disposable pants allow a crotch section and a front abdominal section to be bonded securely while ensuring the stretchability of the front abdominal section in a pants structure in which the crotch section and front abdominal section formed as separate members are bonded. The disposable pants have functions of both pants and a diaper, and a left front abdominal part and a right front abdominal part can be developed to the left and right by breaking left and right breaking parts. The left front abdominal part and right front abdominal part are provided with adhesive pieces to be attached/detached to/from adhesive parts of a central front abdominal part. A crotch section on which an absorber is provided is connected to the central front abdominal part using sheet members so as not to interfere with stretchability of the central front abdominal part resulting from an elastic member.

Abstract: In a rising gathered member 4 of an absorbent main body 3 attached to an external sheet 2, an inward folded base end 4b is joined astride a side end 13a of a top sheet 13 as a top surface of the absorbent main body 3 and a side end 14a of a back sheet 14 so that the rising gathered member 4 rises from a most side edge 3a in a width direction of the absorbent main body 3 and, also, the back sheet 14 of the absorbent main body 3 is attached onto a skin-contacting surface side of a crotch part R of a second external sheet 8 at an inward position at a prescribed width W5 from the most side edge 3a of the absorbent main body 3 as an outermost joint position. With the above constitution, it is possible to effectively prevent any lateral leakage of urine and the like, even if a disposable absorbent article is shifted.

The side wall part (34) is folded outwardly at an inner edge of the bonded part (33) and further folded inwardly. Each side wall end part (341) has a bonded section (3411) and a half standing part (3412) which is continuous from the standing part (342). The half standing part (3412) stands up from the main body part (2) lower than the standing part (342) and fits the vicinity of wearer's crotch in wearing. Thus, it is possible to prevent side leakage from the vicinity of end portions in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent product (1).

Abstract: A bondable innermost edge e? of a hot melt adhesive to be applied to a base end 4a of each of a pair of raisable flaps 4 is disposed outside away from an inner edge 4d of the base end 4a in a state that each raisable flap 4 is folded into a multi-layered manner in bonding the base ends 4a of the raisable flaps 4 to an outer sheet at the opposite sides of an absorbent member 3 with the hot melt adhesive. This arrangement eliminates the likelihood that a free end 4b of each raisable flap 4 may be adhered to the base end 4a by an excessively and extensively applied adhesive portion even if the adhesive is excessively and extensively applied.

Herein, the absorbent mat includes a sheet-like water-absorbent layer that contains a water-absorbent resin powder but that does not contain pulp fibers, and a fiber assembly layer that contains both the water-absorbent resin powder and the pulp fibers, the sheet-like water-absorbent layer and the fiber assembly layer arranged sequentially in this order from a top sheet side. The fiber assembly layer includes a fiber presence region in which both the pulp fibers and the water-absorbent resin powder are present, and a fiber absence region in which both the pulp fibers and the water-absorbent resin powder are absent, the fiber presence region and the fiber absence region formed to be adjacent with each other.

Abstract: Inventive disposable underpants are provided with an underpants member formed of a first sheet as an outermost layer and a second sheet located inside the first sheet; an absorbent member provided on the second sheet at the inner side of the underpants member; and a trunk fittable elastic member for fitting the trunk tightly held between the first and second sheets, wherein absorbent member fixing sheets each folded to form an upper and a lower portions are transversely arranged below the absorbent member, and the upper portions of the absorbent member fixing sheets are joined with a lower surface of the absorbent member, whereas the lower portions thereof are joined with an upper surface of the second sheet. Thus, even if the disposable underpants were formed using a thin absorbent member, the absorbent member could suppress a lateral leak of urine without being twisted while the disposable underpants were worn.
